Um I can't see Chameleon or Meat returning. Too many people don't like them as they are joke characters. People would prefer Khameleon since she didn't make MK:A (though I hear she's in the Wii version). As for Argus he could return but I don't see him as playable. If the Taven/Daegon thing is in MK8 then I can see Rain returning.

Isn't Orin the yellow Dragon in Konquest? Doesn't he get killed by Quan Chi?

I also think there will be more than 10 characters for MK8 there's just not enough. Even 20 characters is a little but short. But this is my opinion.

I've forgot about the female Khameleon and you are right she did not
make it to Armageddon. I did not beat konquest yet to see the ending.

Kung Lao
He is my favorite Mortal Kombat Character. He needs his role of Hero now.But gay ass Shujinko came in Deception/Unchained... Kung Lao should come back and be the Hero.

Kabal
He is my third Favorite character In Mortal Kombat.He is a badass. I think he should come back as the Chosen Warrior "Good Guy". I liked that. Like have him get revenge by having help kill Shao Khan.

Smoke
I think he should come back and kill Noob-Saibot. Though I like Noob, Sub - Zero is trying to find a way to let his soul rest. And There ya have it

Sonya
I think she is original and she is one of my favorite oldies.She is a badass.She needs to finally Kill Kano. No more coming back. Either Kano or Sektor.

Jade
She should come back on a quest with Kitana. She is my favorite girl character.Though I like Sindel, I think she should die by Tanya and it enrages Jade And Kitana.

Kenshi
He needs to be a side-hero. I like him very much. Him and Kung Lao can be allies and kill the new enemy(if there is one).

Shinnok
He should be the new bad-guy actually. Him, Raiden and Liu Kang should.Shinnok is the last boss.Raiden is the sub-boss and Liu Kang is the sub-sub-boss.

Liu Kang and Raiden should not come back as playable...

Rain
I like the guy lol

Fujin
He should become the new(older raiden) Raiden. He could try to stop Raiden now...

Sareena
She should come back because, she is gonna fight Subby

I think that Sareena should come back and because she was only in
Mortal Kombat Advance for the GBA and for MKA for the PS2.
I don't think that Rayden and Liu Kang should come back. They need to
make at least five new hidden playable characters that we've never seen
befor. Sheeva should come back to and she was only in MK3. They should
have twelve new characters and twelve hidden characters.

I dont see that happening, althaugh I do love Meat and chameleon. I really hope they survive. Meat and Chameleon arent joke characters, just odd ones, and I think draahmin should go and meat take his place, meat is demented and could get some kickass fatalities. Same with Chameleon.

I've always liked Meat and Chameleon. I think they should come back, along with Scorpion, Sub-Zero (both obvious returns), Kung Lao, Taven and Daegon, Baraka, Sonya, Cyborg Jax, Cyrax, Smoke, Kitana, Mileena, Johnny Cage, Sareena, Fujin, and Frost.

I also agree that Liu Kang and Raiden shouldn't come back as playable characters, but as sub boss and sub-sub boss, respectively.

Also, since Frost is returning, and she is a female version of Sub-Zero, I think they should have a female version of Scorpion as well. Maybe call her Heat or Sunburn or something.

no offense, but i hate that roster. Also, more than half of those characters don't have a good storyline, whu wouls you want them back? Also, wtf is up with wanting Ordin? It got killed by Quan Chi near the end of Konquest mode; besides, its a dragon, how you gonna fight well with a dragon?

I simply hope they stick to the fact that everyone dies. Outworld should fall apart, and all the realm that became merged with it should return in their original state. That gives you a lot of possibilities for the future.

Since it's obvious that Scorp and Subby return, I really hope the rest of them don't.

Personally, I say Don't officially kill any character, just toss them in the netherrealm in case you come up with an idea to use them again later. I don't hate any character, well except for maybe mokap and Hsu Hao...... and Bo Rai Cho....... Fat piece of slow crap.... but I wouldn't get rid of any of em cuz they all have there own stereotypes. Just Toss them in the netherrealm, or the 'filing cabinet' as I like to call it, and if you ever want them again you can just fish them out. It would be a pleasant surprise if they decided to let stryker live, I really enjoy using him now.

Mortal Kombat needs a fresh start... I agree with that. But what I think we need is UNIQUE characters to stay and the boring ones to go.

eg. characters I would like to see return that I think really fit in to the idea of mortal kombat are havick, nightwolf, subzero and scorpion.

Havick because he is so cool, in fact I think the CONCEPT of havick would be a great mk boss...

Nightwolf because he is realy unique - a red indian with a spirit bow, cool looks, and alot of potential...

Scorpion because he is scorpion, i mean would mk be mk without "GET OVER HERE!" ?

And finally sub zero because he's scorpions rival and plus HES THE FREEZE GUY!

I don't think Meat, Orin, Taven or Deagon should be in the game. Number one, Taven didn't get the prize if listened to the ending or read. He didn't become a god. Deagon, if he made the Red Dragon Clan, how his name wasn't mentioned before. It was Mavado. Orin is Taven's Dragon. Meat on the other hand, was just put in the game. As far as I know, Scorpin and SubZero should be be in the installment. MK8. Personally I think Blaze is the Champion. Della is the creator of Blaze. I feel that the Karaters all should have new Kostums. Every single of them wear the same thing.
I think should come out with a game that would talk abot the Black Dragon.
