MK9 has only a few soundtracks that I really liked. I feel that is mostly attributed to the fact that I hated most of MK3 element in the game including the arenas and the music reimagined from that game.

I believe for MKX, they should go for this style in menus and mini games

MK2 genesis version... Just do that again lol. I'd also like some of the cheesy techno stuff of the movies. It's what so many people associate with MK but there is never electronic music in the game. The armory was the only memorable track in 9 IMO. Cheesy metal mixed with some East Asian sounds. That basically IS MK in my mind. More of that please.

Music!!!

MK9's music was pretty hit and miss. Injustice's was even worse. Im hoping for some eastern darkness in the music. Crazy kotos, Bangin percussion, and wicked synths. Id like electric guitars to be used more sparingly and tastefully and less rock drum kits. I really have no idea what to expect from Dan Forden on this one. I hope Im pleasantly surprised.

Heres a bunch of remakes I did of MK tracks. I hope to hear something like that in MKX.

I know a lot of people hated MKMSZ, but if it's one thing they got right IMO was the music. And it seems to go unnoticed sadly. I'd like to hear something like this for the next MK.

I want them to do exactly what Tekken Tag Tournament 2 did, and give us the option to change all music tracks in the game. Stages, Select screen, main menu, etc. So I can use the entire MK Movie Soundtrack.

I really want to see a comeback of the East Asian style music, MK1-MK2 type music with a hint of MK4. Not a huge fan of modern style music (i.e Metal, Hip-Hop, Dubstep) in MK. Bring back the pounding drums and flutes and stuff....and whatever happens...NO MORE ORCHESTRAL ARRANGEMENTS!!! If you try to sound epic, you come off as less epic and thats a fact.

I really don't wanna hear the MK movie soundtrack influencing the game. I don't think that's a problem though. Dan Forden has never seemed interested in going in that direction, which is good.

As long as Dan Forden is in charge of MK soundtrack, I am optimistic this new soundtrack will rock.

^ I would agree with that if the Injustice soundtrack hadn't been poop.

The understated orchestral music has got to go. The score needs way more percussion.
I really can't remember any stage themes clearly in MK9 other than the armory.

Whatever happened to this, this, this, this, or this?
Oh, same goes for the character select themes, too. They've been, essentially, absent since Deception/Unchained, nearly a decade now.
