motaro for sub-boss and shinnok for final boss

posted02/02/2012 06:33 PM (UTC)bylebronjamesso everyone mentioned shinnok in other threads as final boss, but what about motaro as sub-boss? he was the only mk3 character left out in mk9 so bring him back the way he was, with 4 legs and probably more cheap than mk4, perfect final bosses for mk10 arcade ladder.

To me, Quan Chi would make a better sub-boss, as he already comes off like Shinnok's partner in crime, though he's not an elder god, so it would make sense to the scheming sorcerer in an arcade ladder slot just below the more powerful being (kind of what Shang Tsung was to Shao Khan in MK2).

If the story is based around a Netherrealm invasion, the logical choice would be Moloch. It's pretty obvious they have no idea how to handle Motaro in a 3D game anyway. And Moloch is better.

Ah, of course. Like Shang Tsung (sorcerer), Kintaro (monster) and Shao Khan (most powerful). I guess it does make a lot more sense to have a sub-sub boss, sub-boss and boss. It's more of a complete comparison and one I'd like to see realized, especially given where Quan Chi, Moloch and Shinnok all hail from in this part of the timeline.

I too think Moloch would make a better Sub-boss. Or a tag team made of Moloch and Drahmin?
But depending on the character you play with, having him/her facing his arch enemy as Sub-sub boss would be cool imo.

or better yet, shinnok as pre-sub boss, moloch as sub-boss and onaga as boss, because if they make shinnok final boss he might not be playable, i prefer to be able to use him instead of moloch or onaga.

Shang Tsung was a boss and was still playable and he was still more challenging than Shao Kahn and Goro/Kintaro's transparent style of play.
Additionally, Onaga has no place in the next game, this is about Shinnok and the Netherrealm, there is minimal logic or reason to include Onaga in any fashion other than to foreshadow his rise to power.
As for the thread topic, they could easily have rotating bosses, but this is Moloch's time to be a sub boss, this is the Netherrealm invasion.
They don't seem to have a grasp on animating him properly for combat nor the time to do so for this said non-playable character.
Maybe one day we'll see Motaro again, but I do not have my hopes up in the slightest.

As long as it's MKDA size Moloch and not MKA Moloch I'm all for it.
