Mortal Kombat X NPC Spoilers

I haven't personally seen all of the leaks but I've been informed of Rain, Sindel, Tanya and Baraka. All of this fights in the story show the characters with no variations, however what I notice is
1) The new appearances, particularly of Rain
2) The fluidness and transition of the charactes fighting, again, particularly Rain
Rain uses most of his MK9 fighting style, but Sindel and Baraka also share this trait. On another note, Tanya who is an upcoming DLC character demonstrated a few of her special moves. This doesn't bother me
What bothers me is that I looked up the Baraka fight and witnessed it present within the city, particularly between him and D'Vorah/
But then I found this link, Russian, but it shows Baraka present on the docks map.

My query is if not a future DLC character like Tanya, is Baraka and possibly Sindel and Rain present in Mortal Kombat X? Hopefully a nice suprise for us all with a second page or third line roster. grin

You fight Rain, Baraka, Sindel, and Tanya all two times each. And it's honestly pretty shit that they aren't playable characters. Some of them have larger story roles than the playable ones. I can only imagine that they were intended to be playable when the story was first written.

They all have a chance at dlc surely, but if your asking whether or not it's possible they are unlockables on the main roster... No chance. No variations and movesets are stolen from MK9.

Wrong.

Boon confirmed that NRS is not offering the same characters for DLC twice. So Rain was a DLC in MK9 and will not be DLC again.

Sindel was a bottom 5 character in MK9, so the demand for her is minimal (I've seen only you actually, lol), so...

Baraka - he has a chance, but it's not high. My guess is they are going to remake more 3D era characters, because it's what the majority of fans seem to want.

Boon also confirmed that there would be no MK characters as Injustice DLC. If there is enough demand, Rain will get in surely. Anyway, he said it was "less likely" for repeating dlc not definite.

Sindel isn't very demanded you're right, but if there's another kombat pack, they're going to need to put a female character in. And out of the remaining female characters (besides Jade who has no chance), Sindel's popularity is pretty comparable to theirs.

Li Mei and Sareena are more popular than Sindel, and they're 3D era characters. Sindel will not make the cut for MKX and even if she does, the bitching will be so terrible that NRS will never hear the end of it.

As far as I remember, Boon's statement about MK characters in Injustice was about Injustice 2. In any case, 20 bucks says Rain will never be DLC again. There are more demanded fighters: Fujin, Reiko, Havik, Smoke, Bo...

I don't know about that. I'd say the remaining possible females, Li Mei, Sareena, Sindel, and Frost are all about on the same level of popularity. And NRS doesn't always go for the most popular characters, see Batgirl and Zod who were barely requested at all.

The statement was definitely about Injustice, it was made just a bit before Injustice came out. Rain may not end up as dlc, but he has a decent chance, he's highly requested, Boon only said it was less likely not impossible anyway.

Yet Sindel's huge role in storywise cannot be denied moreover there are demands in Twitter and facebook for Queen Sindel ! By the way Where is Reiko and Havik anyway? ...They are not even NPCs!!!

Sindel won't make it, Rain looks very polished that he might make it.. out of all the NPCs, surprisingly, Li Mei/Fujin look the most refreshing and most polished but they are never fought in the story mode.

Game is just too good not t have another season of DLC.

Sindel is in my top 5 characters, but she just isnt going to make it IMO. She doesnt have the fanbase, sadly and wasnt particularly liked gameplay wise in MK2011.

I dont think they'll go down the line of making Rain a DLC again.

Baraka has a chance, but again he wasnt the best in MK2011 so he may be skipped.

I think Li Mei, Fujin and Bo Rai Cho have the best chances. They're not fightable so they can be completely worked from scratch and it wont affect any of the story mode. They also all have udpated looks.

Sareena is a possibility - but given that she's my second favoutire character I may be being a bit biased - given taht she got a cameo in the game. But I think realistically a cameo is as much as we'll see from her for now. To be honest Im surprised she got even that as she seems to be an after-thought all the time with the MK team. She so deserves a spot. And I do think she would sell well as DLC.

Well then let's talking placements. Which of these characters (and others) have a place in our roster? Think variation possibilities
E.g. Rain has a few possibilities with elements, martial style (super kick please!)
Baraja however I'm uncertain.

I think Bo' Rai Cho being slimmed down a lot definitely makes the chances of him being DLC just a bit more likely.

I don't expect Rain, Sindel or Baraka to be playable. None of them, except for Rain but he was already DLC, stand out too much to be DLC.

I hope you're prediction is correct. Recently, I made a topic about the many reasons why Fujin and Li Mei should be the last DLC additions. But if Bo makes the cut, WB and NRS are free to charge me $20 for him. I'll pay it, because I so f*&%^^&% miss the drunken master.

Erron Black glasses amen to that!

As for Fujin and I can definitely see him becoming DLC. In fact I was utterly shocked that Fujin wasn't in the final roster due to the fact that he was given a well played out in game model AND his potential for variations was present.

Just think ! NRS only indicated gameplays of Sindel,Rain and Baraka not NPCs like Kabal,Smoke and Nightwolf.... They have a decent chance even you continue denying it!furious

Check the sig! We CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!! There is no reason why we cannot get them playable. Or at least some. If we keep bugging them and show our enthusiasm for them, we are going to have much better chances at getting them over characters they would have to create from scratch.

Rain in particular is not just MK9 here, he's brand new in every way....WITH a voice actor strictly just for him. Only thing he shares with MK9 is the moves. Tanya is not unique right now in moves, she is just like Rain....but she will become unique through DLC.

I am confident we can get at the very least Fujin & Rain playable.
And I would love Sindel, Baraka and some others as well. I am a HUGE Sindel fan as well btw. What NRS should do is do a NPC Fan Poll. Let us VOTE on which 1, 2, 3 or 4 NPC we want.

Can we see Ashrah in the story mode or not at all?
I reaaally hope they do make Baraka DLC. While not popular he is familiar enough with casual players alongside Cyrax. And a dramatic moveset change can work in his favor like it did with Kano and Mileena.

except spawn, these 4 are all have fight scenes in the story mode. and rain is playing an important role in story mode.


Li Mei, Bo Rai Cho have no fight scene in story mode.

Although frost's is very short, They have fight scene like Fujin.
Li mei and bo rai cho don't have fight scene at least one second. lol.
