While I am not a fan of tournaments, I am a huge fan of arcade-style playing.

I used to spend all day playing King of the Hill with MK9, and I'd love for it to return. What do you guys think? Should King of the Hill make a fine return, or was it just a one-time thing?

Well according to Angry Joe's interview with Steve Beran, it was hinted that they wanted to bring that "arcade" feeling back to MK. Apparently they can't even mention ANYTHING online related, so it seems they are working on something new and exciting for online.

I'm all for it!

From the interviews I've seen, it seems like they're under the impression that people aren't happy sitting and waiting to play. I say, if that's the case, why the hell are they in King of the Hill? That's the whole point of the mode. I wouldn't mind bringing it back. Had some fun games with friends on mk9.

King of the Hill was the one mode I grew balls for and played, I wasn't about that random Rank shit. It was nice seeing people going head to head and learning them. Seeing why they are King for so long...and then...it's your turn...*heartbeat intensifies*

I don't know if they fixed the issue for the Kollection edition, but they need to try and fix the netcode. The moment one bad seed comes in the room, it fucks it up for everybody. And that's the last thing you need. It's bad enough that I couldn't pull combos during my online fights due to netcode.

They kept it for IGAU plus other extra bits on top of it, which was nice.

There's no good reason to drop it, unless they can think of something better.

I hope they're smart enough to keep the good things and add to or improve them, instead of dropping things in favour of new ideas that aren't as well thought out or implemented.

I much prefer the 8-Kombat UMK3 than King of the Hill.

I never really played it as much, but I wouldn't mind it coming back just for the sake of having another fight to play online.

If I can remember, the longest I managed to be King was for three matches.

Every time I became King, the same guy would come around and knock me down. Then he'd stay on forever. The rush you get from being in the in lobby line waiting to challenge the King is just awesome.

I so want to do it again.

If it wasn't so laggy I'd love it to return.

Yes King of the hill is awesome. It gives you the arcade feel when you have to wait in line to play the winner. The waiting is not an issue for me since I enjoy watching other players go at it. I consider it the perfect way to find people that decline challenges XD.
