Now that there is a Street Fighter cross Tekken and Mortal Kombat is wants to do a crossover as well there is a higher chance that Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter would be a reality.

However, how would they make the game. Should both teams come together to make one game? or should each team make there own game like Street Fighter cross Tekken?

I'm not really sure what I want. On one hand I would like to purchase one game/ thee game rather than buy two different games. But some things just won't mix well on one game. If Street Fighter did the graphics then you would lose a lot of the darkness of MK. could you imagine Scorpion in Street Fighter 4 style? He loses all intimidation with the bright colorful graphics. I'm also worried that if they both came together it would be weird to see Street fighter characters using the upercut, and it would be strange to see Sub-zero's ice ball being cancelled out by hadukens. Maybe neither team should work on it and just let the Marvel vs Capcom team make it.

Thoughts?

It wouldn't lol.

Those two games are so different.

Either SF dumbs down or MK steps up.

Knowing SF fans..... MK would need to step up its gameplay. If that's going to happen, you'd see what Tekken had to do.

MK vs SF by Warner Bros
SF vs MK by Capcom

That way MK fans would be happy AND SF fans would be happy too.

This more or less.

They're too different in engine design, game balance, and playstyle. I'm not even convinced this Tekken vs SF will actually happen.

MK vs SF? The idea was cool, when Scorpion went at it with Rio, but honestly they would have to overcome some huge flaws, and bugs for a now a days version.

First you have MK Vs ST made by the MK team. It is just your bog standard gambling game.

Then you have SF X MK: Paradise made by Tecmo Koei. Perve-a-thon.

Then you have SF Vs MK made by Capcom. Pheonix Wright rip off.

This sounded funnier in my mind.

Make two versions just to make everyone happy...

you get the capcom version with terrible anime storytelling but competitive super serious business gameplay

and the Netherrealm version with superior story telling and something for SF fans to hate on because Ryu isn't God in it.

On the Capcom side, you just use the SFIV engine with some tweaks. First , both of your ultras could be used, and wouldnt need to be picked in advance. Next , in addition to your supermeter being used for cancels and ex moves, you could use 3 blocks for combo breakers. Finally if you end the match winning round with an ultra , the ultra animation would be extended / modified to become a fatality. Stage fatalities could be executed by finishing the game winning round with a focus attack or throw if the stage has a fatality.

Examples

Cage : Ultra 1

Cage does a split into 3 very hard nut punches while the characters make exagerated expressions ( think Gouken or Ryus ultras ) then finally ends it with a huge uppercut.

If this ultra is performed and ends the match in the game winning round, the uppercut would not the characters head off.

Ryu : Ultra 1

Ryu' SFIV fireball ultra , fatality version would evaporate them into a skeleton. Since this ultra isnt cinematic , the final hit that would beat them, would trigger a cinematic that would show the fireball hitting from different ca,era angles, like an instan replay with the final shots getting brighter and brighter leavin the opponent into a skeleton on the ground.

The real question is, will there be blood? If not, let's not do a crossover.

WB produces MK vs SF which is composed exclusively of the villainous characters from each franchise. There is blood, and fatalities. Plays ok, we guess.

Capcom produces SF vs.MK, which uses the good guys. No blood or fatalities. Better gameplay.

Man, I don't see MKvsSF ever happening but I can imagine MK vs Tekken! Tekken has some dark story lines and hell they got a rated M crossover, Death by Degrees! Damn I'd like to see Yoshimitsu's fatalites...grin
