Couple of predictions im going to put out there

Theres room for 3 more returning characters for the base 24, which will likely be
- Johnny Cage
- Sonya Blade
- Mileena

Why?
- easy, they are pivotal characters in the mk universe, with mileena still trying to usurp the outworld throne and Johnny and sonya strongly hinted at, it seems this would make the most sense, also remember, the winners of the tournament ( which only Johnny and Sonya survived) do NOT age until the next tournament ( assuming they lose the next tournament, they will age) explaining why 2 fighters close to 60 could still maintain active roles in the mk verse.

New characters

Of the newbies we have a few to go over, now completely new id say 3 characters that i know of, and a few more that would be new to this particular paradox

New
- Erron Black
- Jaque
- Takeda

I am particularly excited for takeda, imagine a mix of scorpion and kenshi, could be a pretty amazing character. Jacque and erron black also have potential.

New to this timeline

- Shinnok (duh)
- Fujin
- Reiko

Obvious reasons, shinnok i believe is the guy with the bow that looks netherrealm-ish in origin, at least i hope so as the previous shinnok iteration made him look like a total clown, reiko could be tanyas stand in as the treacherous bastard of the game and fujin is a must have, why has it been so long ( why was he not in deception or deadly alliance or mk9 is beyond me but its a new day)

That leaves 2 new characters as a hole remaining. That i have no clue.

Now after goro that leaves 15 spots for new fighters to be added

Those will likely be:

- Jax
- Evil Liu Kang
- Kabal
- Rain
- Cyrax
- Havik

Also expect 4 guest characters
1 console exclusive, 1 from Dc, and 2 random

Fulgore from killer instinct for X1
Nathan Drake from Uncharted for Ps4 ( Nathan Cole from infamous maybe?)

Deathstroke or Arrow, im guessing Deathstroke, Arrow is just my personal preference.

Jason Voorhees - missed out on mk9, think he would be a blast in mkx.

Deadpool - not sure how mk would get his game rights, but its something that comes up frequently.


Also a boss at some point will likely be liu kang, honestly its not surprising, hinted at strongly in mk9 arcade endings and in the leaked achievement titled Civil War, it would be an interesting almost darth vader like turn for liu whos always been considered the franchises skywalker.

That leaves 3 spots open, from there your guess is as good as mine.
