BAD.

I really need another FULL MK on my xbox360, MK was always one of the main reasons i bought a console, and buying one fo them to play just one GAME of you favourite series is bad.

If they don't want to release mk10, fine, but at least give us some kind of spin-off like Shaolin Monks 2.

They said that the power of this generation has been used completely, but I don't care about the graphics, I want new gameplay ideas.

Just give us MK9 with more fatalities, the concept of Brutalities un-used, more x-rays, change/swap/add some characters, a new Story Mode and keep the basic gameplay because it is beautiful the way it is.

There's some GOOD and some BAD imo.

If they were to reprise MK9's gameplay and just add the new characters to the mix? Dunno about this one, but taking some time to see the possibilities to bring a totally different feeling along the new chars or new storyline could be a great move.

THE BAD: Well, i'm not going to jump on Injustice. Looks more like a MK type of gameplay, only they gave Batman his last movie costume and his grapple (Well i know it might sound a little cheap but Scorp?)

I understand why Grundy can lift chars, i don't need an explanation.

-I, unlike many ppl don't think that the PS3 has ever been running full steam yet. Both graphicaly and gameplaywise. There's just no way in my book. I remember buying GOW2 on PS2 when the game was just released. Heavenly Sword was almost ready i think. So, yeah. It would be possible to make a pretty different MK for the present generation. They must have the will too though.

And without forgetting that we could see another SM type of game on PS3 while waiting for MK10 on next gen? Well, i'd rather have MK10 rushed out.

Yeah and about Injustice is a good game but not for me i like it but not going to buy it.Is more like a MK but with Batman and the others without fatalities and x-rays!Strange.

I enjoyed the series in the 90s, didn't care that much when they came into the 3d era, mainly Deception and Armageddon. Mortal Kombat 2011 greatly enjoyed it.

But nothing will ever be better than Mortal Kombat 2 for me.

Like it or not, the next Mortal Kombat most likely will be in the NEXT-GENERATION systems as the timing of the game release will be probably after the NEXT-GENERATION system release. The question will it be worth the hype? MK vs. DCU, before the name and premise was revealed, was hyped as the as being the first to demonstrate MK greatness inthe PS3/XBOX 360 GENERATION.Butility to me it was sort of disappointment as we did not see any progress storyline wise. And doesn't really show why it was worth the wait for it to be the first in PS3/XBOX 360 GENERATION.

Yeah I don't think that there's any debating it, really. The next MK will almost assuredly be on next gen systems. They've got Injustice coming out in a few months and I would have to think that the next MK game will take another few years to develop, and that puts us squarely in 2015 territory.

Next systems will be out by then and the first generation of games will likely be complete for Xbox and PS. So yeah, this isn't anything new and it's really not that big of a deal.

Would it be nice to have a sequel like MK2011? Sure, and I'm fairly confident that they'll take what worked in that game and expand upon it for the next game. But if anything, I think that doing what Ed wants to do is the opposite of a cash grab. He wants to put a great product out there instead of just kicking crap out the door once a year. I have zero issue with that.

It may take an agonizingly long time, but I'm sure it'll be worth it once the next game comes out. It certainly was for the last one!

it'll suck because i'm not planning on getting ANY more consoles for a VERY long time, and i'll want to see what else they can do with the story/gameplay. An MKD style konquest with 2d fights interspersed with HD graphics would be SWEET. To give us a real feel for the adventure aspect.

I think's it good however the MK team that they want to take their time with the next MK and work on other things like Injustice.

The bad is waiting to see what they do with MK 10 story wise. The ending of Story Mode in MK 9 had it end on a cliffhanger and me thinking for days how would it begin? I usually saw it with the undead good guys invading (without Sub Zero because he's my favorite character).

Ed Boon needs to start being consistent with the series. He's always just to make each game entirely different from the last. The position of MK2011 is a good one. He needs to just stick with that and add to it with each installment.

This is the worst possible idea Ed has ever had, I (and probably alot of other people) am not buying a whole nother console just to get MK10/MK2

I agree with Ed because MK9 is a great game and although it's in our nature to keep wanting more there's no real need to make another game if it's going to be similar to the last but with a few differences, they've succeeded with MK9 and there's not a great more they can do to top it in my opinion so I'm looking forward to a whole new MK experience on next gen consoles.

MK for next gen is good but I think it would be too soon. I would rather them make one more game for current gen consoles. So in the end it would be bad...half the people I know will be waiting on new consoles. I will be one of those people not getting a next gen console until a price drop or 2.

I think its not a bad thing to have the next MK on the next gen consoles. i can wait for it if we get a spin off, like MK shaolin monks 2 for instance. if we don't get a spin off, ill have injustice.

if there would be a bad thing, it could be the CHANGE. IDK about the change, but most times its a hit or miss. i agree that the next MK should not be the exact same. or the same with improved graphics. but kinda the same with IMPROVEMENTS mechanics. its always a risk to introduce new elements to fighting games.

imagine that they kept improving from UMK 3 till now. i think the game would be at its best.

MK9 + Another MK Adventure game + PS3/XBOX360 = something that will keep us occupied while NRS makes the awesome MK10/MK2 for PS4/XBOX720

I want them to take their time with MK10; please don't rush it NRS. I also hate that they have to shift their attention on games like Injustice, but I understand that they have to. I feel like injustice could have been Shaoilin Monks 2, or Fire and Ice, or Wind and Thunder, or Edenian Royalty, or Ungodly Brotherhood(of shadow), or Chaotic Disorder(havik vs hotaru)....man I can go on all day with this.

NRS don't be afraid to make another adventure game for us die hard fans. I know one of your main focuses are sales, but we deserve another adventure game. Shaoilin Monks was awesome, and it is still brought up even though it is about to be two generations old.

Ok guys we all knew that sony have confirm and show PS4 so yeah Mortal Kombat is on PS4 but for the guys who dont wanna buy the new console or dont have the money is a litlle hope that wil come for PS3 AND PS4 like WATCH DOGS but im not sure.

After hearing of the specs of the PS4 I have to say the next generations of systems will be far worse than the previous. Taking the PS4, it is more to developers liking and easier to program for but according to what I've read and recently learned in class is that the PS4 is looking to be one of the biggest bombs of the next gen systems. X-Box's new system he heard of (I haven't yet but guessing it is called 720) will see the same issues as the PS4. The hardware graphics is the same but the processor is the only thing that will really change. Backwards compatibility will more than likely kill Sony. PS2 games are still being made which is one of 2 reasons why they took off backwards compatibility for them on the PS3. The other reason was to lower the price of the PS3, but Sony's sales of non-backwards compatibility systems did not see a big an increase as their original backwards compatible ones did. When you look at it the PS4 will not do very good as compared to its prepredecessor the PS2. I have the PS3 too and when I heard that all PS3, PS2 and PS1 games were going to be emulated on a new Playstation store and you had to rebuy them, it made me turn my back on Sony a little there. It reminds me of the early Nintendo eras where every year you had to buy a new system and new games because all of your old ones were obsolete.
