Why is there no official announcement on this game? Wb are so tight lipped about mk.

I don't get it either. The next main MK game isn't coming out for AT LEAST a half a year, and we're seeing quite a bit about it. Yet this HD remake of the original games that allegedly comes out a little over two months from now has yet to see one official bit of info.

It's all been friggin' cloak and dagger, with people spotting the occasional pre-order page online here and there. Not only that, but Ed Boon basically spilled the beans without officially confirming it at GamesCom.

I'm more concerned about the absolute dearth of news concerning a 360 version. The majority of console owners don't have/couldn't afford a PS3, you know... even as I acknowledge that Microsoft has been hell-bent on ruining their image and reputation these past few months.

Forty bucks is a fair price to pay for HD versions of the classic trilogy, I'd say. And Nov. 17th is way sooner than I'd have hoped! God damn, do I ever wanna see some screenshots.

This is crazy, it's supposed to be released in 2 months....and there hasn't even been an official announcement of the games existence or anything....something's not right about that.....

Seriously... I even talked to a guy at a nearby Gamestop who said he's a major MK fan... he never heard of the compilation. *sigh* GIVE US SOMETHING!!!

Actually, thanks to the Slim and it's reduced price, PS3 ownership has gone quite a ways up. So it's a bit silly to say that a 'majority' of people don't have a PS3.

Yeah it's me. I have not posted in a very long time, but i do keep up with what is going on here on a regular basis. I will be posting more now though because i am just so pumped for the next couple months

I also really don't think that 360 owners have a right to complain when something is exclusive to ps3. I mean lets get real here x box has so many exclusives there are too many for me to count. Also when ps3 does get a port of the game they usually turn out like Bayonetta. Every dog has their day and the ps3 is getting theirs. Hell remember for awhile UMK3 was on live and ps3 owners could get that.

Maybe we'll get news tomorrow, according to that order form the release date is the 17th of Nov., making tomorrow the official 2 month mark before it's release.

Maybe making it no coincidence that there was a leak of info on it on Aug. 17 on TRMK, the 3 month out mark.

So I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some news within the next 24 hours

Xbox 360 is still a more popular, successful console than the PS3. And PS3 remains far more expensive than the 360. I know I, for one, can't afford a PS3. After all, MK has NEVER been a console-specific franchise. There were Genesis and SNES versions. N64 and PSX versions. Xbox/Gamecube/PS2 versions. There's never been a console-exclusive game before, so it's baffling to me that they would start now and deny over half of current-gen console owners the chance to play the game.

I can't figure it out either. As I mentioned elsewhere, while I own a PS3, I still feel bad for the 360 owners. MK has always been about multi-platform releases. Hell, if there was a system, MK was on it.

Hopefully this is just something temporary. Despite having a PS3, I'm not about to start gloating about a game that hasn't even had an official announcement yet.
