Mortal Kombat 9: Violence of the Lambs
Ed Boon had on his twitter: "Thinking of calling the next game, MK9: Violence of the Lambs !! "
For those who have never even heard of films, this is clearly referencing the film Silence of the Lambs, this is interesting as Silence of the Lambs was simply a masterpiece. The film won the top five Academy Awards: Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Director and Best Screenplay. To date, it is the third and most recent winner of this achievement. Rotten Tomatoes records that The Silence of the Lambs received a 96% positive response from critics, which is quite an achievement.
Another thing to note is that Silence of the Lambs is a dark horror film, so what does this mean? Is Ed Boon hinting at the fact that Mortal Kombat is a violent masterpiece? Or even better, is Ed Boon hinting at the fact that this could be one of the greatest Mortal Kombat games we've had in a while? Maybe at least one of the darkest? It is very possible. Despite some financial issues at first, the Mortal Kombat team has set some great goals and achieved them. This Mortal Kombat game will be perhaps the most brutal, cringe-worthy, story heavy, character focused Mortal Kombat games in a long time, maybe even ever.
Fellows, it is safe to get your hopes up.

Please stop. You are making me dreaming of a perfect MK and I will die of hapiness. Or of a heart attack if we are shocked again of another combination of stupid ideas like 2008's mk vs dc and T rating . My MK heart will not tolerate that again.. So please don't get us excited until we see it.

OK thanks.
What Ed Boon is secretly telling us is that there is a secret mode where you skin your opponents and construct skin suits. Collect all the ladies' skins and you get "Achievement Unlocked: It puts the lotion on its skin" and 100 gamerpoints and unlock Buffalo Bill and Precious as secret characters. Fellows, i'm confident that this is true and a fact. It is safe to get your hopes up.

lolwhat? Forums =/= Twitter. You can't post a tweet in a forum. The only tweet is the one quoted from Noobde, and isn't complete.

Safe to get my hopes up? LMFAO! I got my hopes up the first time I heard about a new Mortal Kombat being made back in 2008.
And I think he was just joking.

What?
You're not making any sense. Take a step back and evaluate what you are posting before you decide to post again, you're making yourself out to be a fool.

maybe you should specify what you are referring to as the "entire tweet," before calling someone a fool.

The "The" before "Entire tweet" was clearly implying single, and given the topic, I think you guys are smart enough to piece it together.
Apparently not though, since I have to be specific down to the pixel.

You're started a stupid threat with a incomplete tweet. Not all people read Ed Boon's Twitter (and know about his constants jokes), and with a incomplete tweet you can fool people.
And right now, this is the last thing that we want...

Yes because the last part of that particular tweet is so incredibly crucial.
the "Bah! maybe not! :(" was him finishing off the joke because
1. It sound silly.
2. WB would never let him call it that.
It's irrelevant.
