1)dark
2)violent,bloody and gore
3)with fatalities,stage fatalities and deathtraps
4)totally new characters
5)decent Unreal Engine 3 usage
6)good,mature,dark storyline and atmosphere
7)gritty
8)scandalous like GTA or Manunt
9)rated 18+/M or better AO(adults only)
10)as more realistical fighting styles with better mechanics than DA,DECEPTION,ARMAGEDDON

Slow down and relax. Yes many fans are disappointed that the DC rumor has become true, but there's no need to jump to number 9 and start discussing about what should be in that game. You guys aren't even sure if you're acutally going to enjoy the game! I'm acutally interested in seeing how this game turns out.

I want a Mortal Kombat game that's fun to play. While playing MKD and MKA, I quickly got tired of the fighting engine.

Really, I want a dark and gritty atmosphere too, and of course it wouldn't be MK without fatalities, but...scandalous like Manhunt? Fuck that noise. Yea MK needs gore, but it shouldn't be the main focus just to make a couple of 16 year olds go "YAY BLOOD! AWESOME!!".

I think the MKvsDC is just a hoax until the real MK8 game is complete. They give us this crap MKvsDC info until MK8 is totally complete. Then when November comes around, our MK8 will be released out of know where. As soon as the game is being shipped, Midway/Mk Team will release the true MK8 website without us known.

Dark, gritty, bloody, serious, all new characters, and a fresh start.

Instead we get...silly super heroes, barely any blood, not serious at all, all returning characters obviously, and don't ever dare call this a fresh start because there's been at least 3 cross over games in the past decade. Midway isn't doing anything new.

Plus, it seems the pro-crossover contingent are hellbent on insisting we want nothing but blood and guts in our MK games. If that were the case, something like BloodStorm would be the biggest gaming franchise of all time. I think we know better than that, so give us some credit.

MK is a series that was light years above its peers during its heyday. No other game on earth could touch it. Crossovers and interactions with other entertainment properties were unthinkable; it'd be like gods touching something previously handled by mere mortals. Say what you will about how much you hated this or that installment of the MK series, but it's undisputedly a world apart from the cartoony world of Capcom, which was made to be whored out to the likes of Marvel over time.

And now, with this downright tacky partnership with DC, Midway has cheapened and crashed this once-proud series back down to earth and descended to Capcom's level. They've eschewed the roots that were built by us older fans, whose quarters turned a fledgling fighting game into a worldwide phenomenon.

i cant understand people asking why others dont want to wait til mk8 is out. in my opinion its obvious...they simply know what they want and its not mk vs dc. personally,i could give the idea a chance if they didnt take away all the gore and fatalities that made mk what it is.
anyway,i like an idea i heard before from another post...make an mk game just like the one they showed us but remove the dc characters and add the fatalities and gore. honestly,i would even be happy if they just added fatalities and gore. im not asking for tons of fatalities per character...i would be happy with one per character...even if they were just classic ones like the sub-zero head rip or scorpions fire spit. i wouldnt care if they had to delay the game to add it all or remove anything either aslong as i as a fan and consumer get what i want and pay for.

as for a comment from swingbatta....the game brutal legends looks awesome to me but than again when i was brought up i was reading fangora and watching all kinds of horror flicks. not to mention i am a jack black fan. the funny thing about this game brutal legends...i might actual buy it before i even think of playing mk vs dc.

I think it should be like the old mk games but with a video ending with some special modes like in shaolin monks you could search the realms en find items and there was a ko-op mode if they put something like that in it then it would be cooler to have for every character a storyline with hours of gameplay

also it would be cooler if they added 1 big boss battle like in the old days
something bigger then blaze or the dragon king an shao khan

and if Midway wants to add some guest character,why don't add ...TORQUE FROM "THE SUFFERING"!

1) Give us a follow up story as to what happend in Armageddon
who killed Blaze, what happend, who lived and who died,

2) What they promised reinvented new Mortal Kombat with New ORIGINAL CHARACTERS and a handfull of old ones

3)Scorpion and Sub-Zero

3)The Dark and Serious and Gritty MK we were promissed back in 2006 !

4) Larger more interactive levels with no markings indicating what is
interactive and what is a death trap leave that up to us to find out

5) Bring back The Living Forrest and give us some great death traps perhaps along the lines of if you get too close to the trees and hit an opponent against them their character will bounce off try to regain his footing and then the trees roots will grab him/her and shove the character into its mouth,
or just have us able to throw each other into the trees mouth.
Just make it as hazardous as it was in Shaolin Monks times 10

6) If the combat system is good with this.....thing you have created then keep it, but please modify it a little so you are not doing what you did with Armageddon and re-using the same combat system.

7) Make the online lobby more interactive and theatrical
(ie) maybe have us assume a character wander around other character sprits and when we want to challenge them let us just be able to punch their character sprite and see if they acccept the challenge and if not they punch us back like in Deceptions conquest and if they do then the character sprite bows and you enter a fight

8) Make the Fatalities theatrical again and brutal and dark
(ie)Scorpions toasty fatality
Scorpion roars as he did in Shaolin monks then starts clawing at his face tearing his flesh off
leaving his skull which then ignites in flame, he then rears back and roars as he burns his enemy and as his enemy is flaying about screaming in agony Scorpion kicks his chest and the character bursts into hot embers

9) don't stick with the same costumes that you give us for the characters in ...you know the MK vs....dc game
if Sub-Zero did in fact turn into an ice god then please show us he has obtained the power of an ice god.

10) story board endings or cinamatic ending which ever as long as I do not have to watch characters dance around

11) BIOS!
