MMORPG?

Do you think it would ever be possible to make a MMORPG based on the MK universe. It would be amazing if it was like WOW. It would have great potential, the only problem would be that if you had to subscribe to play it. Most of the MK players are aged between 12-16 and idoubt they are going to want to pay / be allowed to pay to play.

Some raw ideas:
-Choose which realm to represent
-Create your charcter with limitations according to which realm chosen
-Choose Ninja, Sourcerer, Spectre ect. Choose fighting styles
-Join clans/guilds and rage war amongst your own realm.
-Wars between realms.
-Online Game masters could be actual MK characters.
-Upgrade weapons and armour and ect

I think it would be great, although i doubt it will be made any time soon. What are your views?

Hey dude, good idea. But to risky for Midway at this current moment..

I heard of an Aussie company creating something along those lines... i did a google and found this.

Although it isnt really your typical MMORPG its prob the closest thing atm.

Mortal Kombat has grown lasrge enough to scale of into different game genres.. something i mentioned in another thread was to have a strategy type game for mortal Kombat..

Something like Age of empires.. but MK style.

Hmm Age of Empires. I was thinkng more along the Lines of Legend of mir, WOW or Myth of Soma.

When Midway goes bust and MK is sold on to another company I'd like to see this, MK seems to have more potential to become a MMORPG than most RPG's.

I really like this idea. I'd probably pay more attention to this than I ever did with EverQuest. I'd love to be a ninja spectre or Shokan.

And I say have the people that run this site also be MK characters. But I don't think Howell would be fit for any character other than.....Stryker!!!! tongue

Just kidding, man. Umm....Scorpion's just MADE for you!wink

I really love this idea, MK has the potential to be even better than some MMORPGs out there, i would LOVE to see this happen.

I hope that the MK universe gets put into a MMORPG. Hey, if Warcraft can do it why not Mortal Kombat. At least Mortal Kombat has a good story. All I ask is don't do like Final Fantasy XI and have it almost required to constantly change jobs. If you start out as Earthrealm soldier you stay a Earthrealm soldier with the only changes being possible promotions and skill upgrades. No soldier one moment and then a sorcerer the next. >.<

That's a very cool idea. With luck some company will do a "shaolin monks" and come to midway with a demo of something like that.
im all for a massive online mk, they definatley have a wide universe, if not at least as big as Star wars. i can definatley the potential.
