I'm still not sure how big it will be , I would be pretty happy with it being big, but I also am good with it being the same size as MK9 or Injustice's roster.

I'm thinking 26 on Disc, 6 DLC.

12 have been already announced, 4 being brand new. That leaves 20 spots. Boon said more new characters than ever so just assume 6 more all new characters ( Fox, Tekeda, Laos Nephew, Bo Ron tan or whatever, and 2 more, possibly guest characters.) That's 14 left.

I think at the very biggest (with DLC included) the most playable characters we'll be getting would be 36. But I really don't see us ending up with 36 characters in the game at any point.

Realistically. taking into account everything that's leaked, been mentioned in official interviews, and all that's been speculated- I think we're likely to end up with 28-30 main roster & 4-6 DLC and going off what Boon said in one interview two of the DLC could maybe be guests.

Not really. I believe this will be a modest roster (24-26 tops) in comparison to MK9's, because of the diversity the variation system offers and the considerable effort necessary to balance it. It also seems we will have more returning favourites and less underdogs from the 3D era and brand new characters that we were led to believe in the beginning. In other words, a solid roster for the classic fans plus some very interesting new additions coupled with lots of versatility provided by the new features. This doesn't seem a title oriented to have quantity over quality.

30 would be the ideal roster including DLC. The only guest character that I would like is Mad Max and indeed he will be in. As for Forrest Fox, he died so he won't be included.

Except Boon & others from NRS have already stated numerous times "The roster will be AT LEAST as big as MK9's". So there's no less than 28 characters in MK X.

We will see about that. Anyway, I wasn't counting DLC spots.

That's like 90 character variations. Pretty good.

30 sounds like a nice number with 6 dlc after that.the same size as SSFIV if they can make all the characters stand out from eachother

don't forget Deagan, he was in Mk9 and mentioned in the comics, other than that I'd say these would be my guesses too( i dont think both sonya and johnny will be in though.)

For new charcters salazar(if the webseries thing is a hint) instead of Fox....his brains were spilled on the floor, only way he's playable is if he comes back as the next noob-saibotish thing

I can't remember who said it but didn't a developer say that they were going to try and pack as many characters as they could before they would send the game for final testing?

Variations are like 2 special moves. I don't think it'll have a big effect on roster size.

In one of the interviews Boon himself equated the variations as having more different characters, not that I necessarily agree though.

I wish they would just reveal the entire roster already. This speculation stuff is no longer fun.

Implying characters stay dead in MK.

Comic is canon, and is after the neatherrealm wars(where we assume all the heroes revived from). and he was WAY dead lol, brain cut in half XD
