If the plot were edited it would've read "submitted by suchnsuch" right below it in a small, swooped forth font...and the page hasn't been edited since June 2nd when the game was announced at E3. So it's likely official and I don't know WHY you guys are getting so bent out of shape over it.

Yeah... Except that's totally wrong because Raiden and Kotal Kahn weren't even announced by June 2nd. The only two characters we knew of were Scorpion and Sub-Zero.
Nobody knew Kotal existed until June 12th. Raiden wasn't announced until July 12th.
The June 2nd date refers to when the page was actually created and edited with confirmed information, such as the 2015 release date (meaning: from the announcement trailer and press release of that same day.)
