Even though it's way too early for this determination, those are my picks.

Speaking of the tier list.... how do you think the variations are going to effect that list? The variations (in most cases) completely change the way a character plays and it's three per character. So, technically speaking, each character can fall into multiple tier spots. How do you think that will be addressed? Definitely can't be a traditional tier list.

Sonya seems like she's going to be really good and that's really bad because Sonya the character is really awful, both to watch and listen to.

Kitana- Assassin
Seems like a pretty good rush down character I'm just concerned about the recovery on her normals and how the 'sharpening' effects some of the normals and their priority/damage.

D'Vorah- Venomous
Can stand and trade and hes pretty good range on her normals. Footsie game looks good and seems like a 'safe' mid range character. I'm just worried how she does against projectile spam.

Sonya- Drone thing with the bombs
First off lets all give NRS props for making a character that uses bombs have to reload. Amazing. it means that they are trying guys! That said explosive wake-up looks good and drone suicide/mixup game is intriguing.

Mileena-Piercing
Looks to be the real damage dealing variant for her and has a lot of good combos and escapes.

Haven't seen enough of Cassie/Jacqui to comment.

Kitana, DVorah and Mileena are good all round IMO. Mileena is at the bottom of that list only because I think I prefer Kitana/DVorahs variations/gameplay style. All of them have good costumes (im a bit bored of the MK2 costume tho and would have preferred MKDA Kitana and MKGold Mileena) and decent fatalities.

Mileena has never been a favourite of mine, in fact probably in my Bottom 10 characters or there abouts, but what they've done with her this game, particularly costume wise, is such an improvement. Im not saying she's jumping up into list of top favorites but its definitley an improvement on what we have seen before.

Jacqui is a bit bland costume wise but Im interested enough in her and want to see more of her gameplay, personality and storyline stuff.

Cassie and Sonya just dont interest me at all. Their gameplay styles just arent my thing, I dont like their personalities and their fatalities are awful. The whole drone thing they've given Sonya is just awful for me, and she has the worst fatalities in the game.

As I figure this is not a classic tournament scene tier-list, but an overall impression of the character tier-list (gameplay, looks, fatalities and everything else that makes the package):

MID TIER:

*She's alright, solid gameplay and a so-so personality (sometimes she comes off a bit annoying to me).

BOTTOM TIER:
Sonya
Jacqui

*Both have unappealing gameplay to me, and while I find Jacqui flat personality-wise from what I've seen so far, I find Sonya more and more annoying in the comics and in the cutscenes/dialogues of the game, especially the way she acts towards Johnny.

Both Cassie and Mileena have me excited, in a combination of there gameplay, fatalities and character. Kitana looks great gameplay wise and design wise but I'm not sure of how she'll be in story mode yet.

I like D'Vorah, she's unique looking and seems to be important in the story, but I'm not sure if her gameplay will suit me.

Jacqui still looks bland as hell to me, but she trumps Sonya who has managed to become hugely uninteresting with her horrible fatalities and drones, missing some of the moves that made her recognisable as Sonya Blade.

I'm looking forward to seeing where Tanya will place when she's released :).

I think jacqui is looking hot in her guile wife beater getup and I like her X-ray. Can't wait to see her variations tonight.

Mileena looks like a serious pain in the ass, her and Dvorah will be top tier. The rest around the same.

Why are people even rating Tanya? We've seen no gameplay of her's (except the Kitana copy/paste from Story Mode)

Everyone I like is god tier while everyone I hate is bottom tier!

Am I doing this right? K, then.

We've only seen Kitana, Mileena, and maybe D'Vorah played at any kind of high level, and I don't think we've seen Jacqui played almost at all.

It's notoriously difficult to predict tiers. Hell, it takes many months after a game comes out to accurately come up with a tier list, and even then it's in no small part subjective.

Plus the variation system makes things a lot more complicated...we're talking eighteen female characters instead of six, realistically.

That said, Mileena is god tier because she's the best.
