MKX Comic release schedule question

posted03/25/2015 04:06 PM (UTC)byJoeMK91Hey everyone, I was wondering what the release schedule for the comic is? I prefer the print versions over digital.
Also, is there a hiatus currently? Usually every week the individual chapters were being reviewed and now theres nothing about them.

8 April #5 comes out with 3 new digital chapters. I don't know when the preview will be up for the new digital chapter. Maybe someone else can provide that info.
The reason nothing is said about the digital releases is because they are way behind the physical copy, which has been talked to death already ;)

I asked Shawn recently why the "Digital First" Comic was so far behind the paper version and how it wasn't useful for spoilers, and this is what he replied :
@EvilStarLegacy Sorry, Tommy! Print and digital schedules can be tough to juggle. Starting next month, youa39;ll see digital pull ahead again.

Im the same way, I'm an old-time comic book reader so I prefer the print edition. It'll be a bit of a wait for a while...they're timing the release of the "finale" of this initial story arc to hit the week before launch...supposedly because it contains a significant event that will lead into the game, and it will be one of "the most pivotal, significant landmark events in the 20+ history of MK".
My guess is that means "You will see Sub-Zero and Scorpion fight."
They already have plans to continue the comic post release, likely with just filler stories that are irrelevant to the game's plotline.

#4 was already the finale to the first arc. I haven't heard them say anything about timing it with some big spoilers, they're just continuing on with the story they're already telling.

That's not entirely accurate. The arc concludes on April 8th. I'm not sure what the "historic event" is all about, but #5 is the official end to the lead-in story arc. The comics published after release date will be "expanded universe" filler.
