I think Scorpion and Sub-Zero would be better. Similar to the Assassin's Creed II Black and White Editions, for MK they could have a Fire and Ice edition. Each coming with their relative characters. I think more people would be interested in the 2 most popular characters rather than a joke character.

No extra 3D goggles but it'll be awesome if MK9 works with the newest 3D technology.

3D is fun. Anaglyph 3D is very feasible - with the coloured glasses. There's a game on XBLA with it : Invincible Tiger: The Legend of Han Tao.

The trouble with it, for the player, is that anaglyph 3d looks a bit dark and crappy, with coloured ghostly bits (although they could reduce this a lot by cundling the game with really good glasses, with better filters than usual I guess). Also, they'd probably need to design the game colour schemes and that for it, which is limiting and a headache. I made an anaglyph demo in Darkbasic, and it was surprisingly hard to avoid distracting ghostly bits, and to have objects clear in both eyes. Also you need to render two views.

So it would be a gimmick, that you may play for a bit, but switch back to normal view for 99.9% of your playtime.

I could see them bunging in an unoptimised 3d mode, with half framerate or resolution, but not as the main draw of the game.

Hopefully NextBox, PS4 and that will have proper stereo 3D support. That would be awesome.

It's still a viable suggestion - and a better one than gimmicky 3D goggles - regardless of whatever point you were trying to make. Personally though, I would rather have a 'making of' DVD.
