Dude, check your title.

As for your question, I think that if they can avoid throwing too many gimmicks in to the game, it could be one of the better ones, for sure.

MK vs DC had some terrible ideas like close quarters kombat, free fall combat and that stupid button tapping minigame while you ran through 50 buildings that were all apparently side by side.

But once you got away from that fluff, you had a solid fighting engine that didn't rely nearly as much on dial-a-combos as pretty much every game since MK3 has. To me, that's a fairly sizeable step in the right direction.

I actually played MK vs DC a few nights ago for the first time in a while and I have to say, the graphics were pretty solid for being a few years old, the pro moves were still pretty cool (though not overly as intuitive as I'd like them to be) and the overall fighting system felt mor polished and refined than the last few MK games.

If they decide to build upon that, to expand the usage of special moves in combos and not keep them separate from the fighting or used as an end move to a long string of random button presses, I think they'll stay on that correct path.

I'd also like to see them up the number of useful and fun to do regular moves for characters, I'd like to see an expansion in the number of single player modes or even online modes.

Why MK never seems to have a survival mode is beyond me. I'd look to Dead or Alive 3 as the perfect example of a well made Survival mode that provided rewards, health recharges as well as difficulty spikes that weren't horrific in size.

I'd also like to see create a fighter return, or at least have the ability to augment the main characters, give them several outfit choices that you create... Something that keeps me playing beyond beating the story mode with each character.

You put all of that stuff in and continue to improve on the fighting engine and yeah, I think the next MK has a ton of potential. They just need to focus on what's important to the player (great gameplay without the fluff, alot of options for game modes and long term replayability).

Well...we have to wait and see if a new mortal kombat game is ever going to be released...I still don't believe that we will have some news and teasers before June..or even in....2010. We only know that warner bros bought the midway studios..Even though they bought some other studios that kept their names,we dont know the name of midway's studios yet...So, for the looks of things..I think that a new mortal kombat is still far away.....

i've got my finger cross that this is the best mk ever. Because i'm still waiting 4 a real mk game 2 b release on the next gen systems. Two years ago a thought we was going 2 get a decent mk game after a 2 year wait since mka and they came out with that bullshit ass game called mk vs dc that was a real big big let down 4 me. So really it been 4 years that i've been waiting 4 this game. So if these one messed up i'm going 2 have 2 give up on the franchise that i really love since 1992. So i'm hoping that this one is the best one of all time Pllllllllllllleassssse.
