Just wondering something.

Certain characters have had things taken away from them, and nerfed or buffed to the point they don't play the same anymore.

anyway the question I'm getting to is this some moves in this game are absolutely useless in this game, and I was wondering if in the next game if people would want those moves replaced or if they want the character to play exactly how they do now?

Take Sub-Zero. The Ground Ice is pretty much regarded as useless in this game. It has it's instances where it comes in handy but for the most part it's useless, and I'm a Sub-Zero player too so I will agree with this.

Kitana. I have seen many people who think the pretty kick is a useless move.

Jade, her whole playstyle needs to be revamped somehow because she is widely regarded to be the worst in game.

That's just a few cases too. There are a few other useless moves on other characters in the game. I just haven't taken the time to look all of them up.

Personally I want Sub-Zero to play mostly the same. However, I want the ground Ice to go. I would much rather have the old ground ice which made the opponent slip to use as a trap instead of having the crappy one we have now.

So, do you want characters to

A. Play exactly the same
B. Play mostly the same just with a few touch ups, like replacing ground ice
C. Characters to be once again revamped

Personally I want B. I don't want everyone to change dramatically, however, I don't want the game to look identical to Mk9 either. Anyway discuss.

Haven't played MK9 in a while but some things could obviously go and others stay. Getting rid of moves? Well it seems my fav SC character has lost one of my fav move so i suppose i'd hate that as much if it happened to an MK character i like to play as.

I doubt any fighting game as ever focused on getting rid of every useless move since they probably would all be perfect but i go with B as an option too. My main concern about the gameplay is NRS killing the demo or mostly on the defensive aspect at this point. The offensive aspects could still be granted a step up but a breaker given to everyone?

I think i'd prefer seing characters with some of their own abilities against each other or at least have defensive means added to the block and moron jumping over everytime like: Stun moves.

Stun: A defending opponent could have to input controls to parry at the right time and turn his enemy's attack in an offensive stun. Providing with a hit or combo.

Guard Impact: For those using weapons of course. The "Hit my sword when i'm blocking and then i'll hit your hookswords in return." kind of bores me.

Evade: Evading some attacks, mostly throws maybe.

Combos have to stay, free hits and combos but this is mostly the defensive/countering aspect of the gameplay that i would change in MK.

Characters should play mostly the same with some updates. That's how it's always been within generations, mostly. Revamping characters that don't need it would be a waste of time and resources, and keeping them exactly the same would be cheap and kind of defeat the purpose of a sequel.

I personally never use enhanced pretty kicks, but the normal ones are good to finish juggling off opponents when you want to keep them closer to you.

I'd like it if they would either add armor to enh. pretty kicks or make it hit mid (not necessarily overhead).
