Hello everyone,

As I am completely blind who loves playing games, I want to ask around, especially Developers if there's a chance to add few extra things to make MK X fully accessible for the blind.

PC platform is the best sadly or not, to make it fully playable for us and some games just showed up how.

I am behind the patch for Skullgirls on steam, which is adding few extra things for the blind.

I tried contact Ed Boom or Nether team few times but I was just ignored everytime.

Sound design of MK is so amazing so it is great to hear it and what makes matches fully playable. The bibbest problem I can see are the menus like main menu, tutorials, options, online menus and story mode subtitles. We are very often tring to remember the order of the menus what is many times really hard to do, especially in the online lobbies. Skullgirls achieved it really easily. With Mike Z. We found pretty easy method just to copy / print the text to the windows clipboard. This will be automatically read by our screen readers we are using.

I know Ed Boom actually showed us a bit in the previous game, injustice with the option accessibility, which adds audio cues for interactive objects on the maps and hopefully we will see the same here. Sadly, imagine you are blind and you need to switch on this accessibility feature without knowing what option you are selecting from menus? near impossible if you can't ask anyone to help you remember the options.

Hopefully someone from the devteam jumps in and help, or maybe You can help me, and others blind-fans of the game.

Here's an article regarding Skullgirls blind accessibility, informational one:

Thanks for reading!

I'd post this on TestYourMight.com. It's far more likely the devs will see it there than here, they have two devs actually active on their userbase, Best of luck!

Please tell me you're maining Kenshi.

Yuks aside, though, the article you linked is great. I had no idea blind people even played videogames, and the very notion of learning to play something as intense as a fighting game by ear (???) is mindblowing to me.

Asesino, you my friend are an ignorant prick. Yes, save up for the $15,000 pair of glasses that likely won't help unless it 'a a specific type of blindness. There have been blind MK players recognized by the MK team for several years now...sounds like it's something they could pretty easily include into the game. To the OP, perhaps reach out to Rigo Cortes (@NinjaBoy66 on Twitter), who has a community-related role with NRS. He's pretty receptive to questions and has a soft spot for special needs. Best of luck!
