Listed as 3/2/2011 (in Europe, that would actually be February 3), but if reading it as an American date, it would appear to be March 2. Obviously, February 3 has already passed so maybe they typed it wrong?

Thanks for the updates BN27. These dates seem to be all over the place: March, April, June...not sure what to make of it. Though there are still listings with dates, so there is still hope that the game exists and will eventually be released. I really hope that it does, I was so excited when I heard about this project.

Something interesting. PlayNTrade has now changed their release date for the HD Kollection to 5/24/2011. This is actually a Tuesday and comes about a month after MK9 is release. Honestly, this release date makes the most sense out of any that I've seen so far. I'll keep an eye on FYE, Buy.com and other retailers. If they start changing their dates to sometime in May, then we might be on to something here.

Interesting; and I agree the May release date would seem to make sense, as it wouldn't pull from the first month sales of MK 2011. Great update!

The game will never happen.

Never is a pretty strong word--maybe not this month, but this game does exist. Stores/Websites do not think of things that they want to sell, list them, and then see if they can get them later. They are provided to them by distributors who get their information from the companies that make the stuff. So, no one at FYE said "hey, I think we should put a listing for Mortal Kombat HD Kollection up on the website". They received information and it funneled into their system. Also, the fact that the dates have changed from November 16th, 2010 to various dates in 2011 indicate that new information was release after November, so the likely hood that it was a cancelled project from a while ago and the November 16th release date was just a place holder is unlikely. A distributor or someone is telling these places that Mortal Kombat HD Kollection is coming sometime in 2011.

Anyway, with all of that happening, and the dates changing, I pretty sure this game exists and will be released at some point.

I am so anxious for this Kollection. I wonder if its only going to be on PS3 though? Either way, I want it! Thanks for the links guys!

Thus far the game has been listed only for PS3, but it will most likely be a timed exclusive. Warner Bros. and Sony clearly have a "thing" going on (Batman exclusives, MK exclusives, etc.), but WB also has a thing for money, so they will definitely be around to collect all of the Xbox players' monies.

I personally didn't expect anything. Obviously, I hoped, but never expected. I really don't think WB will talk about the HD Kollection in any way until after MK9 is released. MK9 is their big project and they don't want to overshadow it in any way.

It's one thing to talk about the online MK series or non-video game related MK topics, but to talk about, or even release, a totally separate Mortal Kombat game months before MK9 could be dangerous.

Right now, WB and NRS know how much the fans want this game (MKHD) and probably want to make sure it's everything we hoped it would be and then more. I expect the game to released late this year or this time next year.

I love the optimism from some of you. I'm not bashing I want thus to happen as well. Believe me I felt like a giant twat the day it was originally scheduled for release and said I'll take a copy of mk arcade. The dude at Gamestop said me too but it don't come out til next year. I had to explain to him which game I meant. Ultimately it left him staring at me like I was crazy and making random games up in my head. Probably didn't help that I was workin that day and had my firearm on. LoL.

Changed their date. Now it lists 12/31/2011. Dates keep changing--I'm still hoping for the May 2011 theory to work out.

IGN lists this game as cancelled.

I think that says it all.
