So with this latest entry in the comic series. The relationship between Reiko and Mileena was expanded on.

But and i'm not sure if it's just me or if anyone else feels this way but Does Mileena have Reiko's hand up her ass?

I swear I feel like she has been nothing more than a puppet thus far. Is she just playing Reiko's game better than him?

Or does she still have an under developed brain that can't comprehend?

I imagine this option is a little less possible with her being Empress and all at one point though maybe due to her bloodline no one opposed her?


What do y'all think? Mileena faithful make sure you chime in with opinions! grin


Anyways i'm indifferent when it comes to Mileena i'm not a fan of hers but I don't dislike her either.

Just something I noticed and wanted to get a discussion going about it.

I see Reiko joining the main roster of MKX and maybe even in future MK games.

Mileena is also someone I see in future MK games.

I don't see either dying. Definitely looking forward to the outcome of this love story.

She seems like she is thinking on a much more logical and calm level just by the way she was reacting and thinking. I don't think she's as dumb as Reiko is counting on.

petrcech, that sig is awesome.
I'm waiting for the swerve where Mileena was letting him think he was playing her all along.

In that scene where he's saying "Oh Goro will betray but I will faithfully serve you my lady"

She really doesn't look that impressed by the sentiment.

I'd love to think Kittelsen is writing a subtly smart Mileena that knows what Reiko's cooking, but I doubt it. She's just as stupid as she was 15 years before, which is piss poor character development, but I don't expect much from MK and its track record of terrible characterization.

Or maybe he's just being her general.. Apparently he's a tactician that puts most people to shame. Mileena isn't an idiot for taking his advise and probably wouldn't be where she is without him. If he was going to betray her he could of done it by now easily. I think he's loyal.

I believe Mileena will ultimately betray Reiko in the end. He'll backstab her after everything is said and done, and reveal his true intentions about how he was only using her, only for Mileena to scoff and exclaim "HAHA, b****! You thought, huh? You thought!!", revealing that she knew the whole time, unleashing her horde of angry tarkatans to shred Reiko to pieces.

I kinda like it. It makes sense to me that Mileena could be so easily manipulated by a guy that gives her attention. Especially new timeline Mileena, she isn't supposed to be as cunning as old timeline Mileena. She thinks Reiko likes her, but he's really just using her.

I kinda want to see what happens when Kitana finally comes into play, she has
much more legitimate claims to Outworld than Mileena does.

It makes more sense that if Kitana wanted to rule Outworld all she would have to do is simply claim it. That's obviously not the case with Mileena because she's fighting Kotal for it, a new character we have never heard of until MKX. Also, Reiko might have something up his sleeve and Mileena is potentially just his pawn.

He refers to her as the "Princess of Outworld" before she is sentenced to death, so that point in itself is invalid. Since were talking MK9 story here, Baraka even states that "Mileena is his [Shao Kahn's] heir" and so she should take over - Outworld is technically her birthright as Shao Kahn's "true daughter", so she evidently has more of a claim to it that Kitana.

As far as her dialogue goes, Reptile could want Kitana to "return to court" for something else, so that isn't exactly substantial evidence of her claim to Outworld. I doubt Kotal Kahn would fight for Outworld just to call Kitana back to rule over it; that would be extremely redundant.

How does Mileena fighting Kotal for Outworld prove she has less of a claim to it that Kitana...?

Even if Mileena isn't portrayed as an airhead, she's a 20 something inexperienced brat, I believe that was the reason why she was overthrown. As Kotal said, Reiko is the real threat, he's a military strategist and he hasn't done anything to anger Mileena yet, she's actually receiving the benefits of his mastermind. Milleena fans need to get over the fact there are smarter and more experienced individuals than her.

Yeah I have a feeling Mileena will stumble upon Reiko's plans, perhaps due to him thinking she'd be too stupid to find out. Then she'll kill him.

What makes you guys think reiko is the real threat to mileena? Why would he be stringing her along if his endgame was taking her throne? He is saving her ass left and right lol.

I think he has respect for the Shao Kahn line and probably wants to be in it... Betrayal after another heir is born? A tester has said that if you pick the BoS faction you can see reiko sneaking into quan chi's study to sniff the khan loin cloth.

Of course Mileena is used. I wouldn't want it any different since it wouldn't make sense for this simple-minded creation from MK9 to have become this wise strategist and ruler of Outworld in MKX. Mileena ruling Outworld is like Kidd Thunder becoming earth's next protector
