M Rated or else!

posted04/03/2009 05:55 PM (UTC)byKessen8The next MK game must be "M" rated or I will stop playing MK. I am sorry but I have been an MK fan since 1992 with MK1 and I have stuck with them through the good games, and the bad ones. MK vs DC being Teen rated really felt like a betrayal to the MK fanbase. I lived with it and bought it, but if they make another Teen rated MK game just cause more people will buy it, then that's it. I won't be buying it. I can't support franchises that leave their roots. I want a true "M" rated brutal next gen MK experience.
If Boon doesn't deliver than I will stop supporting the franchise.
I hope their are others that feel the same way I do.

I think it is sort of lame to quit on a series because it doesn't meet one's requirements. Let's say, "I'll quit watching wrestling if John Cena becomes champion at the next PPV." But I'm not going to.
Don't quit on a game if it doesn't meet one requirement. Yes, it's sad that MK vs DC was a Teen rated game, but it was still cool to play.
The game was great but yeah it was not what we have wanted .Having a T rated MK is bad but not worse thanhaving a crossover .
I hope that Boon never do that again .And I bet if MKvsDCU was a pure MK without a crossover and rated M it would sell more than what MKvsDCU sold .
I just really really hope in the next MK we get great stages like the ones in MK:DA & MK:D

I agree as well!
Though i would not necessarily stop playing MK for that, it would definately suck if the next MK were T rated.
MKvsDC is badass and all, and as fun as it may have been, just remembering how lame the fatalities were makes me not do them...
but ehh, i don't think the MK creators are lame enough to make their next entry a T rated game..hehe
since there are sooo many MK fans out there who probably think the same way you do..

The next MK has to be M rated. In fact it better make the news at night for being so violent. I hope so, after they put a dress on what Baraka is really capable doing of in terms of a good fatality in MK vs DC.
There's really not much to cry about in this situation, because Mortal Kombat has really tuned down over the years, but all the games are good still. They keep what is necessary in a fighting game like blood, and damaged faces on fighters so the little kids are amused at home. It can get better if Midway survives long enough to even put out MK:9 with a M rating.

Only for the violence? Then what's wrong with MK vs DC besides the fact that it's rated Teen? It's violent! Lol

Although I am enjoying until now MK vs DC, I have to agree with you. MK9 must be an M rated game.

yeah i agree. mk needs to go back to a M rating.but they also need to fix the gameplay. the best 3d game to me was mkda. after that i stopped liking them. mkd felt all chunky and slow to me. i didnt even bother to play mka. and mk vs dc was a joke. so thats like 4 bad games in a row, so yeah they need to do somthing in a hurry!! and no more crossovers.everyone wanted mk vs street fighter anywayz!!
