Liu Kangs role in MKX *spoilers*

Ever since that leaked bio

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
Liu Kang
The last thing Liu Kang remembered was being betrayed by Raiden during the invasion of EarthRealm at the hands of Shao Kahn, Emperor of Outworld. Liu Kang had been resurrected to serve as a revenant for the sorcerer Quan Chi, but his body was still damaged and heavily scarred. Despite his flawed appearance, his powers were stronger due to evil dark magic than before. Quan Chi promised the monk he would have his revenge against Raiden, the reason behind his death. Liu Kang didn’t trust the sorcerer. He would destroy Raiden and protect EarthRealm by himself and he would also eliminate Quan Chi as well for helping Shao Kahn attempt an invasion of the realm he loved so dear.


I've been wondering how Liu's role in the new game will be like.

I mean he's neutral like Scorpion. But he wants revenge on Raiden for his death and for the destruction of Earth.

But will he know the real truth on how Raiden was able to save Earth from Shao Kahn and how it worked?

What about his friends? Does he still care about them?

- Johnny & Sonya?
- Wonder how he'll interact with Cassie and her team?
- Kung Lao?
- His love for Kitana still there?

Yeah, I don't believe that bio either. I would bet money it didn't come straight out of the game because of the poor wording, and it doesn't seem like a summary either.

Liu Kang is the one character that they have potential to bring back NOT under Quan Chi's control. I wanna see them do something cool with that. Anti hero is good but he shouldn't be trying to straight up murder anyone he used to care about, except MAYBE Raiden. But I'd rather him treat Raiden like "Stay out of my way and I'll stay out of yours." Maybe some verbal but non-violent confrontations along the way. Maybe towards the end there could be a rematch for MK9. And hopefully Liu wiould win this time.

Still hoping for a non-evil Liu Kang.

I don't know, by the end of 9's story, it seemed like Liu Kang lost all respect for Raiden.

OP took the time to spoiler-tag the bio, then immediately let loose the most important spoilers. Haha.

If those bios were fake, then all of those Amazon bios should be "fake" too, because they were all written just as terribly. They've never spelled EarthRealm and NetherRealm like they were two words.

In the end, I have no idea what to expect from Liu Kang, and I kinda like it that way. That's one surprise I'd rather not be too spoiled on.

If Buddhist Tower Guy is indeed him, he doesn't look that bad but if he is indeed neutral along with the possibility of Kitana, then perhaps they are their own faction of sorts?

The part that sais that his body was damage, makes me doubt.

I mean You can reconstruc perfectly sub zero from being a cyborg but you can ́t heal Liu Kang ́s body??

Is he the only revenat that Quan Chi can ́t control??
