Exactly. Also he has been heavily hinted by Ed Boon and acording to netherrealm studios count on the most used player. He was the third most used character alongside Scorpion and Sub zero.

I think so, and I certainly hope so, but I'm not so sure that tower statue is Liu Kang after all. After seeing Fujin, he appears to have a VERY similar vest, the same style of wrist guards. His hair is braided back so it could just look shorter in the tower because you can't see the braid, and Fuin does seem to have some sort of band around his head. It looks very thin but it's possible it gets thicker in the front and it could look like Liu Kang's head band. I would need to see Fujin's face to know for sure.

However, that doesn't mean I believe Liu Kang is out. I theorize that the mystery boot belongs to Liu Kang, and that if the tower character is Fuin then the boot is not a part of that costume.
