Liu Kang will be in this game no matter what anyone says. And I still bet my life's savings he's some sort of boss (sub or main) character.

I don't believe Ed for a second when he says it'll be someone we won't expect, that sort of 'twist' is right up their alley.

Notice how he spelled it "Phishing", as in the scam that MISLEADS you into believing something that's not actually true. He's leading you to believe Liu Kang is gone even though he really ISN'T! Also, Liu Kang was caught on FIRE, and these guys are fishing in the WATER. WATER puts out FIRE! DUH!!

But in all seriousness, the water thing is probably a coincidence. And Ed definitely misspelled "fishing" on purpose, but it might not mean anything.

Word is Liu Kang will be featured in the comic book, which leads me to believe he will be in the game too. Although that doesn't confirm it because it could be a flashback, prequel, or some sort of apparition that doesn't make him somehow alive.

Like it's been said again and again and again, Twitter is far from a reliable source. I'm not counting Liu Kang out or in just yet. However I will be sorely disappointed if he's not in and playable.

Just to clarify: CHARRED means scorched/burnt. CHARD is a town in Somerset close to Cheddar (where the cheese originated).

Whether it's in Story Mode or on the roster, we'll be seeing Liu Kang. You can count on that. Not to mention, why would Raiden need to search for the charred remains when Liu Kang was the first "fallen" that was tended to?
