Sonya just looks more pale in the first pic and that might just be the lighting. It's just weird that Johnny and Kenshi are both clearly older in the trailer while Sonya doesn't look noticeably different.

This.
Also Sindel doesn't look old... What makes her SEEM old is that she has white and grey hair, but facial wise she looks young.

Because Liu Kang is not the champion of Mortal Kombat. He's dead, and was resurrected, and thus he aged. He's not immortal.

I seriously can't believe we are once again having this discussion about Sonya's aging.
People age differently.
I believe the problem people are having is that there's no major significance on her that shows her aging, while Kenshi and Johnny shows in their hair.
Are we going to notice Sonya's small wrinkle detail? Obviously not. But it's there.

No. Sindel's face has the characteristics of a older female. Which is why most people keep bitching about Sonya's face and comparing it to Sindel in other threads like this.
"Herp derp, it worked for Sindel, why not Sonya?!"

Sindel looks young for me, in MK9 she didn't seem old she looked the same as her daughter, once you remove the horrible make up and white hair, she will look exactly the same age.
You are looking at the whole character with the white and really horrible make up that makes her seem mature, but remove that and she looks exactly the same age as Kitana, the face is not old one bit.

He still is. That might not mean immorality since he's obviously dead, but not a single person has challenged him and won the title. (That we know of)
JC is not applicable here. "Raiden's Champion" sounds like a title bestowed by Raiden, not the Elder Gods.

Yes, he didn't get defeated in an official tournament match, therefore he is still the MK champion, he shouldn't have aged. But hopefully they'll explain it in the story :/

Wouldn't the Mortal Kombat tournaments be considered over? He no longer has a championship to defend.

Well, there should be a tournament every 50 years, do I think still remains the champion until he gets to defend it 50 years later.

As evident in my previous post, no I'm not looking at her as whole. I can easily ignore her hair, especially when her face is evident to my claim.
But I see where this is going.
So let's agree to disagree or whatever some shit.

Without Shao Kahn is Outworld still trying to merge the realms? I see the events from MKII as the final tournament, and MK3 being Shao Kahn's last attempt for Earthrealm. So who would compete at the next MK tournament?
This does make me wonder how Shinnok is able to wage war between realms without the Elder Gods getting upset like with Shao Kahn.

Why? The MK Tournament was created to stop Shao Kahn's invasion/fusion. Shao Kahn is no longer a problem. The Outworld was in civil war for years. They aren't a Earthrealm threat anymore, specially if Kotal Kahn reigns.
Also, Liu Kang was dead. And we know that there's tensions between Raiden - protector of Earthrealm - and Liu Kang, who become a Shinnok's revenant and trying to kill Raiden and conquer the Earthrealm. Under those circunstances, back to life is enough "reward" for him.
There's ZERO reasons to mantain the "no aging" for Liu Kang. Seriously.

That's the whole reason of the creation of his own amulet. To invade/conquer realms without Elder Gods intervention.

My mom who's 51 has been mistaken for being my sister a few times. It's not out of the norm to look younger than you actually are. With that said, I do wish Liu and Kung Lao looked a tad bit younger. But hey have young alternate looks so I can deal.

Ah! Ok. I didn't play MK4 much and really only watched my brother play Mythologies a long time ago. Thanks for the info :)

Sindel doesn't look old because she died young and was resurrected as such. She's therefore not going to age like a normal human, so comparing her to Sonya seems rather silly.
(I had to retype her name four times because of autocorrect. Damn iPhones.)

Yeah, I understand what you are saying, I guess I don't mind Sonya Blade looking young even when they made Kung Lao and Liu Kang old.
But I do actually like Kung Lao's old look, he reminds of those old badasses from Kung Fu movies :p. I think it's good look for him :D.

Age-wise, yes, but that's in Edenian years. She wasn't exactly looking like Grandma Moses at the time either.

Todays stream showing Liu only made Sonyas non aging even weirder. Liu looks a lot older than I thought. EVERYONE but Sonya is noticeably older it makes no sense.
