Here is the Status from the Tether:
Would you like to see an Art Book for Mortal Kombat X? If we generate enough fanfare as a community, we may just receive one! Even a handful of artists who have worked with NetherRealm Studios have expressed their disappointment at the lack of an art book. So what can we do?

- Make use of the #MKXArtBook hashtag on Twitter

- Tweet respectfully to NetherRealm Studios & Ed Boon
Will check out the petition, sign it & share it on Twitter & Facebook.
Speaking of Facebook; one tip is if you can get the post on Tether edited, get it edited so when speaking about the hashtag it says "Make use of the #MKXArtBook hashtag on Twitter & Facebook" as hashtags on Facebook accumulate into trending topics just as they do on Twitter and that could also increase how many people see the petition.
I will rock you.
Meh I can care less. I mean you unlock artwork stuff in the Krypt so there you go.
There's tons of art that goes unseen.
Yeah but why? I have never seen those cyrax and khan pics lol. All the bullshit codes and damage models in mk9 when they had stuff like this laying around? That's disappointing.
Because I am not much of an art fan. I just said my opinion that is all.

But you do care, so that's something; because if you didn't care at all you would have said "I couldn't care less".

I asked Shaun H. again yesterday and he said the "team is aware of this request" and I asked how much of a chance we had, and he said "I cannot say." so if you are one of the folks tweeting them asking, keep it up.

That's fine. Me personally, I just like concept art and stuff like that. My post was to the other guy who said that said there is a ton of art that goes unseen. That's true but why? In mk9 there was some cool background art but that character stuff was never shown. I'd like them to be in the mkx krypt but I don't oppose an art book by any means.

But it must be more than that of MK9. I have that one and I like that I have it, but it's kind of barebones. Would like to see more from the process and all. Since I'm into drawing aswell and I'm trying to make a fighting game myself (and over here, there are no decent courses to take part in).
So I would love it so much for a great concept artbook... the process of the concept and how it goes to translating it in a game/polygons,....

I'd love to get my hands on the French one and I'd cover the cost of it if someone could pick it up.

I got ahold of tweeting an employee at NRS named Gina (I believe her last name is Jaio) and asked her to look into an MKX artbook.
She responded with: I did look into this and I cannot comment on it. Please Continue to follow the MKX twitter feed for future news!
What do you guys think?
I found a forum where this is being discussed. A hi-res image of both the cover and Table of Contents exist.

We had the cover story, and we had a bunch of folks saying they wanted an artbook. However, disheartening news has come to light this morning in the form of an official Mortal Kombat page that there is currently NO plans for an artbook, and Rigo has stated "A third party would have to be involved".
We need to get more noise going, and we need to get folks tweeting at them ( @Netherrealm, @Ninjaboy66, and @Tylerlansdown) to get them to know that WE DO WANT AN ARTBOOK!
Look, there's no strategy guide. France gets some history of MK book, but aside from that...We get nothing. I understand some folks are going to say "Well, we have the krypt", but a ton of MK Kollectors love the physical stuff and Artbooks sell well for most AAA games!
We really need help, and we really need folks pushing for this artbook. A petition isn't going to do it. We just need to tweet, comment on facebook page, and go at it until we get something.
Can you guys help us out?
Rigo has stated "A third party would have to be involved".
What the fuck does that even mean?
France gets some history of MK book
Why can't they just translate that? I don't understand.
We need answers. Something doesn't add up here.
we have the krypt
Unless it has the little annotations from MKDA-MKA, it's basically worthless, at least to me it is.
These are the things that ground it all in context, these are the things that give us bits of lore, and it's the lack of these things that made the MK9 Krypt the most flaccid one of them all.
