Kitana Jr. in MKX?

Kitana lived for over 10,000 years before she bit the dust. What if she gave birth to a baby girl around, say, maybe 3,000 years prior to MK1 and Shao Kahn had it taken away, claiming to Kitana that her infant child was executed due to something stupid (like disobedience for having it in the first place), but in reality it was abandoned somewhere in Outworld, where it was found, raised to be a warrior, and finally comes of age by the time MKX rolls around.

Ideally this offspring would be female who wears blue and utilizes war fans so we can finally put Kitana to rest and her fans wouldn't be upset since they would have a perfect replacement in her daughter. And didn't Ed Boon allude to characters having descendants who were hidden from their parent(s) due to Shao Kahn?

What's the point in replacing Kitana with a "daughter" if she's just going wear blue and use fans? That's the kind of lazy mentality I do not want to see among the offspring of older characters. Make them unique in their own way or don't make em at all.

Exactly this. There would be no reason, if she does have a daughter, stays quiet to anyone about her kid.

If you've played Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty, the character Olga is in a similar position. Her child is taken away from her, she tells the only person she can trust about her... Gets killed...

Parents wouldn't remain quiet if their kid is in a known danger. Even if it's to someone they don't necessarily know for a long time.

Wat. I would certainly be upset as hell if they replaced Mileena with a new fighter that wears pink and uses Sais. If you think MK fans love the characters for the color they wear, sorry but you're in the wrong website.

Can't characters ever have cousins, siblings, or parents added in the mix? Why limit to just offspring? Kitana's father, King Jerrod, would be a much better idea.

It may not be impossible for Liu and Kitana to have dated and really secretly conceived a child? I guess it would even make more of a basis for "Kitana offspring" character, since the child would likely inherit Liu's quick ageing genes and be adult and ready for combat already in the MKX period, whereas if Kitana bore a child to an Edenian man, he/she would still be underage by this time, because Edenians age slowly and Kitana is, in Edenian measures, still a "young" girl.

If that turns out to be the case I will not be a happy camper, not at all. Why should NRS make her have an offspring (and go through all the trouble to give a damn good excuse how she got one considering the events of the previous game) if shes gonna wear the same color and use the same type of weapons as her mother. Why not include Kitana instead.

This trick might have worked on Bi Han/Kuai Liang only because Bi Han was sub zero for one game (and nobody knew the subby in MK2 was Kuai Liang). Kitana, however is a very developed MK veteran with millions of fans. Trying this on her will only piss off Kitana fans, such as myself.

I will only be okay with it if the daughter is unique and that DOES NOT cripple Kitana's chances of being included and playable.

N-O NO. If there's any offspring of an "Edenian" I am looking forward to, it's Mileena and Baraka...hopefully before they plot backstabbing schemes behind each other's backs. These guys really need some counseling therapy.

You all know DAMN WELL that NRS wants to get rid of her as well as a bunch of other stale, old characters from the past. Having bits and pieces of them in the new blood is the most logical for the series to move forth without the fanboys getting butt hurt.furious

And yet, this is exactly what you propose by making Kitana's theoretical daughter a carbon copy of her.

If she's using fans, is wearing pretty much all blue, and is an Edenian, well, congrats, you just re-created Kitana.

If you really want to move away from the past, Kitana's daughter should only bear a few vague similarities with her mother in terms of costume, fighting style, appearance, and personality (ala Cassie Cage).

So people who disagree with your ideas are crybabies? Seems like you're the only one who is crying with this fit of a post.

I'm up for characters having descendants, but your idea doesn't work. If she had a kid taken away by Kahn, she would have said something in the last game. But she didn't, she can't now... really, no need to start calling people names because they disagree with your ideas.

Also Ed Boon has pretty much stated that just because a character died in the last game does not mean they are gone for good.

Did you forget your talking about MK. Nobody trully ever dies in MK. They can always come back. Even Boon keeps repeating that to everyone who are worried about characters being dead, and to those like you who think the deaths are permament.

I just about shit my pants when I put in Deadly Alliance and saw this bitch for the first time. They made a clone of a palette swap clone that happened to also be a clone in the story. Li Mei was basically clonecepetion. In other words, no, I would not like to see pseudo-Kitana in MKX.
