I seen new comic info showing Kenshi and Hsu Hao.... Very interesting..... Boon said no on twitter to Hsu Hao, but his chances have actually went up now imo..... It wouldnt make much sense to use characters in the comic that wont be in mkx...... Red Dragon gonna be in at least 2 of the comics? Imma be surprised if Red Dragon isnt in mkx. I so want Mavado back personally....

I am positive Hsu Hao will die in the comics, and since they take place before MKX, I doubt he will be in the game.

I do think Kenshi has a chance though.

Time and history have shown me that tie-in comics like this, released to support a product, will invariably reflect almost nothing on that product.

Don't hype yourself up hoping any forgotten/obscure characters that show up in this comic, like Hsu Hao, will necessarily be in MKX. That's a road to disappointment.

What's going on here is that the comic's writer has been handed a copy of the MKX storyboard script and he's essentially written a prequel comic to the game, using the characters he wants to use. Nothing more, nothing less.

Why? The writer wants to tell his own stories with all of the characters of the Mortal Kombat universe, and it has been stated multiple times that there are going to be characters in the comic who are not in the game. In Kittelsen's own words:

TKT: Will there be any characters from the series expansive roster who definitely won’t be featured or written about?
Shawn: You mean like the way Ed teased “un-reveals” on Twitter? Hmm. I can’t rule anyone out. We never know when we might need them for a story! But that brings me to a really important point: Just because characters appear in the comic, that doesn’t mean they’ll end up in the game. We need to keep people on their toes. So we’re drawing from all across the mythology.

Yeah yeah yeah i didnt know shit about an interview till a min ago..... So yeah Hsu Hao most likely not, but still ill have hope for Mavado..... Red Dragon must have some thing to do with mkx story i think.....

Anyways.... Yeah how the comics being done is kool with me, but i still think its dumb..... I mean if Hsu Hao isnt gonna be there in mkx, then why give him more than a cameo and death scene? Im just saying it defeats the actual purpose of these comics which is to promote mkx..... Im not trying to sound like im hating, i just wouldnt go about it exactly like they are.

I think that's what it going to happen to Hsu Hao, a cameo and a death scene. I don't think he will survive his encounter with Kenshi.

Because NRS wants to give the writer freedom to do what he wants, not just make this a cheap and quick tie-in comic. In that same interview, he talks about how this comic could last for years after MKX has come out, featuring stuff that isn't in MKX doesn't "defeat the purpose of these comics" at all, they're still promoting MKX even if they're daring to use other material. It sounds like you're just mad you won't be able to easily tell who's in the game earlier.

I don't know what exactly happened, but I think posting ANYTHING that TKT does or interviews is punishable by DEATH(banned) here in MKO.

MKO doesn't like TKT I believe, but I'm not entirely sure. Admin Note: Fictional characters can lie, cheat and steal all they like. When groups or individuals do it within the kommunity, we don't want any part of them. Nothing is worth that. -M.

Perhaps all the characters from MK4-MKA will appear in the comics.

Some will be getting their deaths while some still have a second chance.

I personally dont think they ill be in the game. remember the comics are a prequel leading up to the events of the game. So im sure we'll see plenty of characters and what has happened to them. remember this, ed boon specifically said Hsu Hao will NOT be in the game. im sure this is just an explanation as to what happened to him,

but kenshi is definitely high potential

I'm glad all these other characters are getting revealed. Shinnok will be towards the end and I'm glad. He's gonna look amazing both in looks, gameplay, and variations. Syked man lets keep at this! wink

If Boon said no to Hsu Hao, then he wont be in. What chance does that sound like. The MK team will reveal which characters are in it when the game comes out. As a business they cant give things away about the game right away otherwise it may or may not determine your decision to buy the game.

And it's not much, but the love for Sue Hao has grown (or should I say the hate has simmered down)....just because of a comic? Well then...

This only further supports my theory that many of those "hated" characters are redeemable. Continuously stating how awful they are (just because some don't want them in games over their favorite characters, or "are wasted roster space") isn't going to change that.

Obviously proven now, that it's about presentation. And MKDA (aka Midway) just didn't cut it.
