Guys what if Shujinko comes back with a similar story only Shinnok is the one manipulating him. It would turn out that Shujinko is immune to the Curse of the Kamidogu. The curse would be that in increases the persons fears and desires simultaneously, the more power you recieve the more of yourself you lose to the Kamidogu. It begins to feed off you once you use it's power. Shinnok would somehow now Shujinko was immune so he would use him to gather all the Kamidogu and forge them into weapons he could use to kill the elder gods. Shujinko would be under the impression that he is the Elder Gods champion, and that the weapons are merely a way to purge the realms of evil. This would serve simply as a side story to the whole netherrealm war chaos. Raiden would learn of all of this and convince Shujinko to give up the quest. Ironically Shujinko would have been the Elder Gods champion. Raiden would use a Kamidogu against Shinnok and become corrupted. He'd begin lying and hiding information, trying to get all the Kamidogu together so he could "defend" all the realms. Shujinko would realize Raidens corruption ad hide away the remaining Kamidogu he didn't give to Raiden. Raiden would then kill Shujinko and begin his decent to evil where he becomes the final boss. Also Shinnoks amulet would give the user full control without corruption.
