Lets talk about Kai some more.

1) Do you want him in or not? And Why not or why you do?

2) What powers do you want him to have? Some new cool abilities to make him more unique or the same fire-powers like in MK4?

3) Would you like his handstand to return?

4) What could be his fatalities?

5) What could be his story?


I really start to grow on Kai. I started to pick characters I don't like in my imagination (while at work) and give them some powers/stories/plots in my daydreams to make them more interesting for myself, it already worked for Kobra and Kira, and next day I did it with Kai.

I think it's fun that Liu Kang is about dragons, so I would like it for Kai to have another animal spirit going on for him. Tigers was the first thing that came to my mind as he has these awesome tiger-stripe body painting stuff going on on his design.
I would like it if Kai could turn into a very cool Byakko-Type creature, the Byakko comes from Chinese myths and is a noble creature resembling a dragon-like white tiger. He could become this creature in one of his fatalities and also in his moves, much like Orchid from Killer Instinct he could run towards his enemy in Byakko form and rush into them with claws and teeth, do jump attacks and stuff like that in White Tiger/Byakko form.

Everytime Kai transforms into this Byakko form his tiger-stripes tattoos will glow with heavenly blue light, also when he turns human again the stripes will glow.

Now Kabal probably takes a pauze in MKX, there isn't really a speedy character, I would like Kai to have speed, not as fast as Kabal and not with the same move, but with other type of lightning-fast abilities or kicks (think E.Honda style or Chun Li's kick)

I like Kai to be this young and energetic dude, maybe even a little bit ADHD, rushing into stuff, but with a very gentle aura over him, the Byakko could be his protector spirit that resides in his soul, helping him in times of need and battle.

I know Razor isn't going to like this, but Liu Kang didn't had his Dragon-thing going on in MK1, he gained it in MK2, so i'm all for changing stuff up and not keeping too much to the old.

His handstand would be fun as well, he can do chun li's spinning side kick (but with hands still on the ground) and other such moves while in handstand.

His three variations could be:

1) Handstand/Agility style, with the handstand stuff going on, he's on his hands the entire battle.

2) Byakko style, with the tiger spirit aiding him, and with many tiger-attacks, him turning into a spirit tiger form for many attacks. His design changes by giving the tiger-stripes a faint light blue light effect.

3) Blue Fire form, with some of his old moves but with blue fire instead of red, i'm a little bit sick of characters using red fire, or using fire at all, his last variation could also resolve around speedy attacks and combo's.

His fatalities could resolve around speed and acrobatics. His second fatality should be him turning into the Byakko and tearing the foe appart, eating a part of him.
