At least I'm not one of the dozens of people creating the same threads about the same shit that's been talked about for weeks. There's a thread which sole purpose is for users to bitch about the roster. OP should have bothered to look for it and post there instead of creating ANOTHER thread. And I'M a broken record? Well I'm sorry for not liking the same threads being created every day. And who said I liked the S.F. representation? To be honest I don't, I just like the roster.

What is Cassie's "Sonya variation"? Because i don't remember Sonya ever being able to call up missiles.

This is the one subject I hope people keep repeating and posting about just so NRS can realize that people are not happy about the redundancy of the Special Forces. They DID overdo it. With all the roster choices they could have made, they decided - fuck diversity, lets go with these overrated characters like Sonya instead. I've always seen Mortal Kombat as the story with sorcerers, gods, conquerers, deities and such. It's a shame to see they decided to put focus on military propaganda/heroism clishes with yet another one of my favorite video game series.

I agree for the most part. I think Johnny and Sonya should be heavily featured in the story mode for obvious reasons, but I don't think both of them need to be playable characters, especially Sonya.

Cassie's Hollywood variation has ONE move from Johnny (the nut cracker), the other one (being able to shoot her pistols in the air in adition to the regular grounded shot) if anything could be mimicking her daddy's action films but not his fighting style.

She also has the shadow kick (or the cartwheel, don't remember which one) as part of a combo chain instead of a regular move, so it isn't like her playstyle resembles Johnny's by getting his maybe most iconic but certainly least useful move.

I hope this time around the nut cracker at least is an "usable" move, last game's was a stupid move that didn't even stun the opponent (he could always block after it) and even if it was clearly a low hit, maybe medium, it was just a regular high hit IIRC, which meant you couldn't even use to mixmatch and surprise your target.

I don't think getting that move equals to playing like him when Cage players rarely used it (more a mock move than anything) and she doesn't have the green balls or proper shadow moves.

I'm actually all in all happy with the roster. Im not trying to beat a dead horse but I don't read every forum and none of you have to either. For those of you sharing your actual opinion in the topical thread thank you. I'm just expressing my opinion on the three characters, conveying it in a different manor than other posts may have. The point of the threads are to express my opinion and discuss the topic at hand, not for people to flame about the post itself.

Johnny cage is a classic, one of my faves, but sure have Cassie and johnny, or cassie and Sonya , but all three? Meh, throw lie mei or jarrek or sector or smoke . I like about 95% of the characters in MK , I just don't understand why you need 3 of the same. I personally would of liked to see havik, hotaru, fujin, and bo rai cho.

This post puts it perfectly. Cassie has TWO moves from Johnny, ONE of which is part of a combo chain. She also has NONE of Sonya's moves and takes more moves from Stryker and Sektor than Johnny and Sonya. People are seriously just picking faults with a game they haven't played yet and with characters that they haven't even seen it yet, but MKO is gonna MKO like usual.

Don't worry it's not really your fault, it's the incredibly high amount of threads made on this forum to discuss about the exact same thing instead of all the discussion happening on the same thread.

For some reason there is this misleading belief that because Cassie is Johnny's and Cassie's daughter, she plays like them, but when you observe her playstyle she has almost nothing in common with any of them, she could be Sektor's and Stryker's weird robo/cop (pun not intended... but now I have a weird image in my head) gay marriage adopted daughter if we're going to judge by her moves.

People jumping to the conclussion that her parents won't have their different playstyle when Cassie doesn't even resemble them at all and then each time a new user thinks about it and makes a new thread (and there are hundreds of you) is what is getting into some people's nerves.

I'm not even talking about play styles, I'm talking about background, looks, ect... For example, pallet swapping ninjas back in the day, now we are pallet swapping special forces... Ehhhhhhhhh come on..
