I liked Cage in the very beginning... but

Cage has been the same exact Cage since MKII, with no revamping, only unnecessary subtractions. Cage was personally my favorite character besides Rayden. But I've personally been tired of seeing him, since they killed him off (literally killed his character) in MK3. He was never the same, plus how can you take away such a signature move like his infamous groin punch. Cage without the nut punch is not Johnny Cage at all. It's like having peanut butter without jelly, kool-aid with no sugar, cake with no icing...

I'm not opposed to him returning. I'm opposed to him returning the same. If he does return, he should be almost unrecognizable (other than his signature moves); I'm talking Extreme Makeover: Special Edition. All of the characters need extreme makeoers, Johnny Cage especially.

I do like that they tried to make him more serious in Armageddon, but there is just no real compelling reason that he should be back. The best thing going for him is that he's iconic, and he's a supporting character -- that meaning he can come back without stealing the spotlight.

It wouldn't be a death blow to the series, but it's probably a waste of a roster spot. Let Cage do something during Armageddon, and die to save Earthrealm. I wouldn't even be opposed to him being responsible for foiling Shinnok's plans in Armageddon. It'd then be time for him to die, however.

If he did come back, he should have retired from making movies and that stuff, and be completely dedicated to fighting for Earthrealm.
