Anyway im super pumped Jason is in, as a huge fan of both MK and Friday The 13th this is just fantastic news.

As for him being slow, I wouldn't count on it, as others have mentioned he has been seen running on multiple occasions so its really nothing to worry about.

Man I cant wait to hear Johnny and Jason intro, I know they will come up with some clever nod to Cage being an actor and Jason being a famous movie character lol

That would be insane, in a good way :) He would fit right in, but I don't know how they would work a manga/anime character into a MK game, the art styles are pretty different.

I was among those who knew there would be an announcement that day.... and when I got off work I rushed home to see what was announced... only to discover it was MK vc. DC... If I had shit myself right then, it would have been concentrated rage..

My first thought was Is this a Fcking joke!? WHY?! My second thought was OMG, that means I have to wait several more years for a REAL Mortal Kombat game!!!

Every one here was sooooo pissed and swearing and there was sooo much hate! And then I watched Ed Boons announcement video. Where he was all "We just loved the idea of Scorpion fighting Superman." And "We all Love it! Its such a great idea and dynamic!" He was just so happy with himself... I lost a little respect for him and really thought that he lost touch with the core MK fan base...

Luckily MK9 remedied some of that

Leaving the fandom over one guest character? Man that's extreme. I mean, I can understand being pissed over DC. At the time it came out I had fell off the MK fandom for a while, but it still left a bad taste in my mouth. But some good came with it, they're tight with DC and making good MK comics with them now.

Jason's intros are gonna be awesome and hilarious. The fact that he doesn't speak opens the way for some really funny interactions. It will be fun to see how each MK character reacts to him and the fact that he doesn't speak. Johnny and Cassie are guaranteed to say some funny shit and I could see him being silent really pissing certain characters off, like Mileena.

Really looking forward to ole hockey mask, I can't wait to see what they come up with fatalities, xray & variation wise. He's got some beastly potential.

As far as his look is concerned and trying to decipher which appearance it resembles the most.

Well rumor has it that we can expect a new Friday The 13th in 2016 or 2017 i'm not sure which is the correct year.

So maybe WB are unveiling his future look through MKX. I could be a good way to get the hype train rolling.

Roof top scene where the boxer kid is going full out on Jason until he is gassed and can't deliver anymore blows.

Well have that or something similar play out in MKX where the opponent thinks they have Jason on the ropes and then Ole Hockey Mask changes the momentum and completely obliterates the enemy.

I think it would pay good homage to the films and show how unstoppable he truly is!

Jason grunts and makes pain noises throughout the films. They'll probably be a little muffled with the mask, hopefully, but yeah, he's not incapable of making noises or anything. lol He just chooses not to speak.

Some one suggested earlier that it would be cool if Freddy Spoke for him... and is controlling/manipulating like he did in Freddy vs Jason. Also, Jason hears his mom commanding him to kill people. Maybe she will be the one telling him to murder people...

Just a thought.

You would think with that time he spent under crystal lake in parts 6 & 7 with a chain around his neck his vocal cords would be crushed or atleast deteriorated beyond use after all the injuries he's sustained over the course of the films and the whole being dead and reanimated again.

Let's not start trying to apply logic to Jason/Friday the 13th. He's supernatural, and clearly has an undead healing factor of sorts. So if we're led to believe he can keep coming back to life, I don't think it's out of the question to believe his vocal cords are still there.

Regardless, this is his human form, so it'd be before he takes all of that abuse.
