In regards to Jade maybe the woman from her MK9 ending snatched her during the NRW and is using her as a host. wow

Boon did say that we'll see the mysterious hooded woman in a future game so that may explain Jade's absence from MKX.

She's possessed and trying to fix the timeline, hence her spectral cameo in Kitana's ending, informing her bestie of her glorious other life in a parallel universe.sad

That'd be cool but I think Boon was bullshitting about seeing her in a future game.

Maybe Jade was killed as a revenant during the 25 years gap, and that's the reason that she is missing and Kitana paid a tribute to her.

Hmm... Jade... well it's good and all to at least provide the Mournful variation for Jade fans in tribute but to drop her like this with no explanation is pretty insulting. Hopefully there's some hidden information in game or some form of explanation as to her whereabouts. If not, Jade MKXI Confirmed?wow

Going by Kitana's ending
Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
it really looks like Jade was showing the vision of the alternate timeline to Revenant Kitana (Kitana's eyes glowing green same as the aura around "phantom Jade" can't be a coincidence). Hence, if NRS do choose to go ahead with this concept, she may play a key role in the next game. Whether this is a result of the woman from her MK9 ending doing something remains to be seen, but I'm really enjoying this mystic side NRS have been pushing Jade towards.

Still disappointed we don't see her in this game. I thought there was more to the Mournful variation than just "oh, sorry no Jade! here, have fake Jade as Kitana's variation instead". Almost expected Jade to be an NPC fight (reskinned Mournful variation) during the story mode, given that they had these assets already. Them leaving her out so deliberately must mean something (mostly wishful thinking)

I feel like there MUST be a reason for her absence. I don't think NRS could deliberately leave her out for no reason, whilst Stryker, Nightwolf and Sindel return as revenants.

It would have surely been easier to put her into the story over most of the others since many of her moves are in Kitana's mournful variation, so I don't think lack of time would be the reason either. Hopefully her absence is explained in the comics, or she will return in the next game. If NRS abandon my favourite character with no explanation, I'll be very pissed off.

At least Sektor and the other characters that got f'cked over in the story mode got acknowledged as existing... :(

I've been wondering this too and I hope they have some plans for her consider her MK9 ending and Kitana's MKX ending.

I totally agree that she may be used as a key part of the next game. What if the mysterious woman is actually one of the edenian gods (or possibly the successor or precursor of Argus).

I'm calling MK Mythologies Jade XD

No really of all the MK Trilogy females she seems to be the most mysterious and underrated. I'd like to see more of her story extended and her badass costume and voice retcon in MK11. Thinking either Ming-na Wen (voiced a character named Jade in the Spawn animated series) or Sumalee Montano.

When I saw Kitana's "leaked" ending for MKX my thoughts were, "she's coming back next game to revive her friend". Hope Sindel will also be back as good and will join in saving her daughter.
