oh my god your right, because in Mortal Kombat, when someone dies they can never be resurrected, just like Johnny Cage, and most people in MKA, oh the inhumanity!!!...lol

Ah, I see...That's different...and potentially very risky...I'd want them to have as much time as they can to develop both games properly...

Everyone is so pessimistic about the story for an MK3 Shaolin Monks. I think the devs have heard enough complaints that they'll consider doing a better job with it next time.

Either way, I'm always more for the characters and gameplay, so I don't care as much as others here, but I do hope some story points are repeated well and expanded on, like Kitana's bio.

I'd hate it if this game was called Shaoilin Monks 2. If they do make an adventure game, I really, really hope it is not a continuation of the "story" in MKSM. They should set the game during the events of MK3, include four playable characters that you can switch between when you get to a save portal, and they need to explain everything in MK3. Hopefully they show how Cage died (screw the MKDA ending >_>) how Sub-Zero managed to defeat the three cyborgs (still don't know exactly what happened there) and what happened chronologically.

If they do have four playable characters, I hope they include Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Sonya and Jax. I always figured they were the main protagonists of MK3 anyways. Maybe include some unlockable characters after you beat the game, and some more characters for versus mode. Oh, and if they do versus mode, make it so that you can play two on two. That'd be really fun

I think a Mortal Kombat 3-based adventure game could actually be pretty fun. The story always fascinated me, and held my attention as a child. Hopefully it is done well, and the game lets you take control of any of the "good guys" trying to survive Shao Kahn's invasion of Earthrealm. Well, more specifically, any Earthrealm fighter (besides the cyborgs).

The cast would come down to Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Sonya Blade, Jax, Kano, Jax, Nightwolf, Kabal and Stryker. That could be very cool. Maybe throw in Kitana as a playable character. The goal should be to explain the Earthrealm invasion from their perspectives, and just elaborate on what went down during this era, and expand on the characters a little more.
