Hey everyone, I'm new here so I'm really sorry if this has already been discussed. While watching the MKX story trailer I wasn't sure on why I should be excited about Jacqui as she didn't really have a defining feature compared to other characters. While searching I found that many people noticed flamethrowers on her arms. This reminds me of the design choice used on pre-cyborg MK9 Sektor, which makes me think that we could see Jacqui become our first female cyborg in the storymode of MKX. So do you think this is a possibility? If it happened how would you feel about it? I think Boon mentioned once on Twitter that we would see at least one cyborg in MKX, but I could be wrong about that.
I know its a stab in the dark but hopefully it makes for fun discussion!

We don't know for sure if those are flamethrowers, the first thing I thought was "rocket launchers", a nod to Jax's missile special from Mk trilogy and Mk vs DCU.
She cover her arms with high-tech implants which gave her super-strenght (as shown in her Xray), rather than using prothestic arms. Just like. Jax in the original storyline.

she is Jax's daughter so she has high end technology available to her, but thats all it it'll be.

She's not linkuei so no reason for her to be a cyborg, plus sub-Zero takes over as grandmaster and gets rid of the cyborgs

Yup. She's OT Jax. Which is good, I like the two different approaches to augmentation (medical necessity vs voluntary procedure). I just hope that this distinction is something that will actually come up in the dialogue.

I hope we get at least one cyborg eventually. I doubt it tho. Last mk only had one dlc pack and I expect the same here. Especially since it's Crack head price.

I'm actually thinking that her wrist attachments will be the focus of her variations. For example V1 flamethrower, V2 missiles, V3 cyber net, or maybe shotguns? Kinda like picking the attachment to ur gun in Call of Duty. Then her universal specials would be strength based and kickboxing attacks. Just speculating

Before the story trailer, some suggested that she loses a leg going by a threat Kano makes in the comic. I'd have liked to see that as otherwise Jacqui doesn't seem to stand out.

She is by far the least interesting character in the game. I predict that she'll be the least played.

I know it sounds cliche but it would have been better if they went with leg augments. It goes with her kickboxing. Something like bayonetta with guns as heels but it could be more practical. I can see her doing a Muay Thai clinch kneeing somebody with shotgun blasts.

Still looks like Machine Gun Barrels to me.

I'm curious to know what daughter of Jax has to offer.

As for Variations, I can imagine her one variation dealing with arms. The other variation dealing with legs and her kickboxing.

But I doubt it.

I'm ok with that, maybe Ermac will rip her legs off and theyll give her some cool robotic legs.

This is kind of what I was thinking, I also had a similar idea for Jax too. I think based on what we have seen from her it makes the most sense for her variations.

Cyrax and sektor were their lin kuei code names before they were cyborgs, no one got a new name after.

But jacqui isn't lin kuei so she wouldn't have a cool codename already.

and yes i do agree it won't happen, no more cyborgs will happen till sektor recreates the tekunin(if he does)
