is there any way youd take a specific character in a different direction.

Is there any way you'd take a specific character in a different direction.

I mean in general of moves, story, appearance, etc.

Would you replace certain moves or finishers with new ones or would you keep the character the same but tweak them/update them.

I'd like reptile to become more ferocious in game play.

In terms of story I’d like him to become a type of leader with using his smarts to ambush, strike and disappear tactics, other various battle strategies. Not make him a peon for Shao Kahn, Shang Tsung, Quan –Chi, etc. Make him a leader for his race and recruit the likes of Chameleon, Khameleon, Tiamat, and Onaga. Just make him cunning and brutal.

Appearance wise I could see him in a variety of different ways. Like that salamander type look he had in the 1st Mk film, lizard like how Lizard is in the Amazing Spiderman film, the Dilophosaurus type look from Jurassic Park, birdlike, avatarish, or even tribal.

Moves I’d like to see given to him are more dash related, with various crawls, tongue jabs, tongue spins, bites, clawing and slashing, tail moves if he is given a tail. Keep all of his moves but give him more unique moves to his race and species.

like to hear your ideas/thoughts/opinions on the subject.

It's not really "different" so much as "elaborating more on something that was subtly already there"...but I'd make Tanya fight more like a sorceress and establish her story-wise as Quan Chi's apprentice, that that's her payment in exchange for betraying Edenia, he teaches her dark magic.

Love this. A female sorcerer under Quan Chi would be really cool, especially given her penchant for stabbing people in the back. It'd be interesting to see where that type of relationship would go or how much backstabbing would be involved.

As for my idea, it's still more of an elaboration like Razor's, but I'd really like to see Kabal get away from the Black Dragon and go his own route as a sort of anti-hero / wanderer type. Perhaps if he had anything to do with the Black Dragon, it would be a revenge plot of some sort to take them down for leaving him to die at the hands of the extermination squads (which would have to be added to his history and addressed somehow).

I'd like to see NRS give Kabal more upward momentum than that. If Liu Kang is actually dead, it'd be nice to see a character like this sort of come out of nowhere as the reluctant hero on the side of good. I think that there could be some real chances for depth here as he grapples with his own desires for revenge and evil versus saving his own world and helping those that clearly don't trust him (ie Sonya, Raiden etc).

I'd like for Kung Lao to stop being a dead guy. At first he was a sidekick, now he's dead. Residing in the Netherealm.

I'm sure he will be revived somehow, but when he comes back to life at least let him be more than a sidekick.

Kung Lao should serve as a master trainer. With Liu Kang angry he will forgive Raiden and will train earthrealm warriors grooming them to be heroes. He will also be a bit more wise and he should serve as Fujin's second in command, second only to Protector of Earthrealm except not in the next game

Fujin_ new protector of earthrealm, not like raiden, a bit safer and quesionable at first but hell prove himself.

Liu Kang- I mentioned this in a previous post, but i think itd be cool if he joins the Red Dragon and becomes a vigilante working on his own accord. This could also beef up Mavado and make him look better by issuing him into a Mavado/Liu Kang rivalry for supremacy of the Red Dragon, daegon could disappear, searching for answers on why the quest is "over".

Cage- he should be the go to guy for the next game, he becomes a champion of Mortal Kombat for once

Goro- Try to regain his honor and in doing so could be neutral and searching to gain control of Outworld

Noob Saibot- He has been around quan chi for a long time, make him just as dubious and i say more savage than quan chi.

Regardless if Sub-Zero comes back as a human, a cyborg or half-human half cyborg like Cyrax in his MK: Gold ending, I want him to disavow the Lin Kuei and focus on finding other descendants of Cryomancers. Maybe if he is back to human somehow, he should be the one in helping Cyrax get back his humanity.

i'd like scorpion to be more of an agile fighter and use his kunai/spear alot more. much like the film ninja assassin. he's a ninja so he should vainsh with his telaports use his swords in combat and use his enviorment as his playground. running up walls delivering kicks. just looking badass.

stop having him be neutral. i'd like to have his story progrees with being the eldar gods champion. thought he had one of the best arcade endings in mkd, then mka arcade ending was trash.

apearance i'd like to have his undead ninja form as usual and have his human form without his ninja hood. that could be sweet.

maybe have his supernatural/undead powers if you select his undead form but if you pick his human form he has more weapon moves and more kicks,sweeps.

I'd really like to see Sareena break Kia and Jataaka away from Quan Chi, for some reason I really would like to see it happen, and the 3 kill Quan Chi.

I agree with bringing Reptile's race back, I can see it happen if Quan Chi would revive Kiri and Ankha.

It would also be nice to see the Kreeyans and find out what their real realm is called. Yes, this all does come from the Mortal Kombat Conquest YEARS AGO, but could easily still be part of the saga and make since with a lot of things, in fact I now believe that the girl at the end of Jade's ending is Qali from the same episodes, fits her Edenian look/magic/descriptions/even says she's so similar to Jade in her bio; not completely the same costume but very identical, and if so this could definitely open up to a whole new set of characters: Kiri, Ankha, Qali, Empress Kreeya, Taja, Siro, Lori, Vorpax, Omegis, Peron (Scorpion's previous/possible wife), and Master Cho.

Yet, the 2 realms of Order/Chaos NEED to bring out the big players or save them for MK11: Zaggot and Abacus!!!

I could see Kitana, Jade, and Sindel under Quan Chi's control this time, replace Kia, Jataaka, and Sareena; which pisses them off in which all 3 turn on him/them for one bad-a$$ cat fight!!! Meanwhile, Tanya steals the thrown and Liu Kang's upset and not helping Raiden do anything about it so he must reach out to others this time, and since Liu Kang originally found Kai, now Kai won't be found JUST YET, saving him for MK11 along with regular Sub Zero. This is where they find Siro and Taja whom aided the Original Kung Lao and for some reason have not aged from where they were. Also, Havik, Zaggot, Abacus, and Hotaru should be introduced earlier.

Let the Choose Your Destiny return:

Shinnok/True Shinnok (Final Boss)
Zaggot (Sub-Boss)
and/or
Abacus (Sub-Boss)
Quan Chi
Endurance (Zombie Kitana, Zombie Jade, and Zombie Sindel)
and/or (Kia, Jataaka, and Sareena)

The hardest hidden level being ALL Endurances like the N64 version of MKT!

Zaggot and Abacus are from the Malibu comics series, they're the Gods of Chaos and Order.

And while actual MK canon certainly does have a God of Chaos (Chaosrealm's backstory is that it used to be a perfectly normal world until he showed up and made it what it is now)...I'd be pretty damned shocked if we ever heard the name "Zaggot" in a video game. I mean seriously, who comes up with a name that's one letter off from a hugely offensive slur? Did the writer just somehow not fuckin' notice?

Lol, yeah the name is a bit odd, but Street Fighter's got Sagat which I always thought the same even though pronounced a bit different. I just think that storywise these 4 would fit perfectly: Zaggot/Rook, Abacus, Hydro, and Siang (Sing/Sang combined) could actually fit this time and make perfect since in many different ways. At least Zaggot's appearance would be somewhat different, kinda like Havik mixed with Rob Zombie.

Ah, thank you! I do recall that comic, I just don't think I've seen it in about 15 years. As for the names, yeah, not a fan. One is a travel guide for restaurants and the other is an outdated math device. WTF?

i'd like to see meat use his body as a weapon much like Mayuri Kurotsuchi from bleach.

moves that could be really cool are
intestines whip - where he whips his intestines like a nunchuk.
bone knife - he snaps his leg which causes his bone to punture out of his skin. pulls of a piece of bone to use as a knife.
blood bomb - he lobs a bunch of blood at him/her.
bowling with his head - rolls his head sending the opponent flying.

appearance wise could be fleshless but more along the lines of hellraiser.
alt appearance could be his organs,bones be on the outside and his flesh be on the inside. you can only see the flesh on the inside when an xray hits him.

story - i'd like to see him join up with skarlet and become king and queen of outworld. or even have him be the protector/guardian of the realms.
