I kinda hope it is, have every character, every stage, maybe some new Characters and stage and a huge Mk Krypt with ton of hidden secerts!!

I seriously hope that it isn't. It could easily be the death of the Mortal Kombat series. The first Trilogy game was a joke, an unplayable mess with many glitches and corners cut, just to milk the MK brand for a little more cash. It's no coincidence that when it came out, this was also the beginning of MK's big fall from popularity. Plus I'm worried that they'll just use MKD's broken fighting engine with more characters if it is another Trilogy style megamix.

The fact that Midway said the next MK would have the biggest cast in an MK game yet really worries me. I'm hoping I'm wrong on this one.

I hope not as well. They should focus on the fighting engine and getting that right. Once they have that set up, they should do a great job with the storyline, characters, etc.

MK game with about 25 characters and......... at least one if not two bosses(UNTHROWABLE, HUGE CUS BOSS IS DIFFERENT FROM HIDDEN CHARACTER!!!) that you can unlock without hacking or using a cheat divice(70$)

Onaga resurrects every MK character? That's a real concept, but he doesn't have knowledge on everyone who died. We don't even know if most of them are dead or not.

actually the downfall of the mk serie was a little bit after MK3 came out... most of the people didn't like the new gameplay and the difficult button combinations who are hard to remember(the sucky new characters didn't help either)

So this is going to have all the characters from MK4, MK5, and MK6???

-trilogy had an awfull mess ofa "gameplay" and was unbalanced.
-this is no opinion: MKT didn't made as much as expected. An economic failure, exceptionally here.
-UMK3 had the best gameplay in 2D MK fighters (MK1-MK4 ...yes, MK4 was 2D in gameplay)
-a lot of unnecessary people from the Trilogy..MK4 period. MKDa and MKD had decent newbies since MK2.

i like that..EVERY KOMBATIAN EVER! just like the new dragon ball z game, only more..down to earth. *rim-shot*

It's no rumor, I assume that it might be another Triogly game since some source said that this was going to be the Biggest Chacters roster in MK.

Yeah i know that Chrome, with the unbalanced characters such as noob for example, MKT wasn't as bad as some make it out to be though i feel.

I mean, i don't think it's the best MK, but even thats up to opinion.I mean MArio Superstar Baseball is a great baseball game, but people don't take it seriously because it's a Mario baseball game, but trust me i'm a baseball fanatic and i play as well and this game is very baseball like.It's even better then some of the more authentic baseball simulators today.Because sometimes when you over do it with the technical shit, that kills the game.

UMK3 was one of my favs.Also, no fighting game is perfectly balanced, no game is perfect.

MK3/UMK3 had that feel to it though, same with MK2.

First of all,why do you guys keep saying it's going to suck? Man,sometimes i wounder about us so called MK fans,atleast have a little bit of faith.I mean i for one hopes it's another trilogy.But you guys really need to calm that shit down.

Well technically if its a "triogly" game it wouldn't be MK7, just as MKT wasn't MK4. It'd most likely be a non-cannon game with a mega-roster like MKT or Tekken Tag. But enough with the annoying, "well technically..." talk.

If the next fighting MK game is planned to be on the current gen systems I won't be bothered at all to see another "MKT", as long as its not a direct port of the MKD engine with a mega-roster. But if it is I don't really see any of its Japanese counter-parts really evolving much either, so I'll still probably buy it and enjoy it quite much.

No matter what system it appears on if its a "trilogy" I want to see tag teams and/or even more background interaction and/or a create-a-kombatant feature. At least one of those features and I'll at least some what happy with it.
