Is it just me or did the netcode get worse? (On PS4)

So I finally played MKX again after about a month. (Bloodborne is so damn addicting) I get online and within 4 matches, I get 2 quitalities, 1 horribly laggy match, and one passable match. What happened? I don't remember the netcode being this bad.

Now maybe I simply forgot how bad the netcode was after not playing for a month. But I remember being able to play near lagless matches with consistency.

I need a second opinion on this.

I haven't gotten to play online in like two weeks, but it wasn't too bad last time I played. I still had the usual laggy match here and there, but nothing like this. I will be getting off for like 7 days + here soon and will have plenty of time to test it out though grin
Haven't noticed much of a difference.

Online is a mixed bag.

I've stopped playing after Predator was released. No one accepts challenges, the matches that I do have are completely laggy. I've never had anyone quit on me, but I wouldn't be surprised if I went back to the game, I'd get a few quitters after seeing what online has been towards other users.

From what I've seen, looks like the developers have yet to solve the problems about this.

Do ranked, that way you don't have to worry about people accepting/declining matches, the only way somebody can decline a ranked match is if your connection is bad at the moment. I pretty much only play ranked so I don't have to worry about that nonsense, if finds somebody for me to fight, we fight, and move on, its nice lol

The Predator/Tremor patch happened. It screwed the online quite noticeably (look around on other forums, you'll notice others have said the same). I have many more laggy matches now than I did before that patch.

Once NRS was bombarded with "fix netcode" petitions, they decided to make it worse. glasses

Honestly though, it's hit and miss. For me, playing matches in the rooms are 9 times out of 10, terrible. KOTH is about 50/50. Ranked and Player matches are my best bet if I want to play without god awful lag and button delay. I seem to have consistently decent connections with those.

Its fucked up lately on ps4 eu. It wasnt like this the first 2 or 3 months. I was actually satisfied from online lag at first. Now is terrible.

I thought maybe I spoke too soon so I tried again last night.

It was about 40/60 in favor of decent matches. They were laggy but playable. Then I played some more today, the input lag was merciless.

I think Ion's mixed bag description is accurate. It has bad days and better days. (Never any good) But I can definitely say the lag is more consistent than it was before.

I'm barely on mkx. Don't get me wrong Tremor and Shinnok were amazing and I love playing them. I'm grateful for their inclusion. However mkx wasn't as addicting as MK9.
