Hype levels are through the roof for me. I'll be sober, I'll play versus with my buddy, go through every character and variation. Then story mode.

I think the coolest thing about this game is that almost NONE of us have even played it. MK 9 had a demo but MK X, completely different story. This is completely fresh.

I always do Story mode/Konquest first and that will not change for this title. Just that little 6-minute snippet of chapter 1 got me very excited! Even for it's flaws, I still loved the MK9 story mode and it looks like the one in MKX will blow it out of the water!

First thing I am doing is heading to practice and learning all of Kitana's variations and deciding which variation I'll use the most.

I'll hop over to story mode, next.

Then, go through arcade mode with Kitana.

Finally, online combat competitiveness begins.

The hype has become unbearable for me, I'm like a rabid animal haha. I can't go 1 minute without thinking about this damn game no matter what I'm doing!

First mode I'll play is practice mode or the tutorial so I can get a feel for the game play before I go into story mode.

It's looking like I'll pick Goro or Reptile or Shinnok first depending on who is readily available. Most likely Reptile.

Alcohol will be very present. I won't be a shit show but the first second of April 14th is gonna be like every holiday combined for me. Birthday, Christmas, New Years all in one, I gotta celebrate at least a little bit.

Haha although it might be instinctual to reprimand the creation of a separate thread just for this, I can relate too closely to say anything about it lol The excitement is taking on the symptoms of some kind of drug withdrawal at this point; except I was only given a taste, and the real stuff comes out April 14th :D

First order of business is spending time on practice mode with Sonya, whoring all of her intros in 1v1, then onto Arcade with her before Story Mode. Then Johnny, Kano, and Mileena get their due process.

The 14th can't get here soon enough.

There's quite a few characters I want to master, but sonya's always been my number 1. I'm very interested in Cassie. And of course kitana and mileena.

I have never been so excited about a game in my life.

Also can't wait to play with friends and go online.

No it sure ain't and I'm about to go fucking nuts. I've been working out more recently after work to pass the time, loaded up my iPod with my workout music (Kylie Minogue, Alexandra Stan, David Guetta and the like) and I've been jogging 8-10 miles just to waste a couple hours. The wait is KILLING me!! At least my girlfriend finds it hilarious.

Story Mode (she ACTUALLY likes the story) and when she gets bored of the game which will happen quickly,

Practice Mode (so I can actually learn my mains and destroy you all online or get destroyed which is more likely )

Then Arcade ladder for all endings:D

Anyway, practice mode first, to play around with each characters and see what kind of special moves they have. The Kasts will have revealed them all by now, but I need to try 'em out myself.

Then it's story mode for sure.
