It completely depends on who is left off of the roster as a whole at this point we can only speculate, The true flagship characters have already be confirmed as well (Scorp & Subz). But as far as characters like Johnny, Sonya, Kitana and Liu. I would be totally fine with them sitting out for a game. In favor of them fleshing out more interesting character ideas. If NRS can some how find a way to strike that perfect balance between New and Nostalgic. this won't even be a topic of conversation anymore. Don't get me wrong that doesn't mean i want the flagship characters gone permanently I just think they could use some time on the bench

I think that's exactly what they're going for. Having MKX host the most amount of new characters so far while also going into MK4-and-beyond-like territory would put some of the more classic characters lower on their priority list.

Plus they killed so many off. Deception had the same premise and it was fine.

Most nah. Presumably everything after MKX will take place after the end of story mode which ends 25 years into the future. This might be the last hurrah for more than a few favorites barring a Trilogy/Armageddon/Tekken Tag Tournament type of game.

I'm looking forward to seeing Bo'rai Cho in 2.5D, interested to know how the fat man will play, also wondering if any of the MK4-Armageddon arenas will be back and how they'll look, I really enjoyed Ying yang Island and the falling cliffs, Ying yang Island would work perfectly as a 2D arena.

I'd at least like to see Kitana and Kung Lao playable.

I'm also pretty excited about seeing what goods the new or Younger characters have up their sleeves. This particular MK's one that i've been expecting for a long time and it's going to be more than worth the wait (At least i hope).

Yea I'm feeling postive about a few characters missing this installment.

I'm really digging the designs of the new characters so far, obviously we don't know much about story etc, but so far NRS have really impressed me.

Why are you saying deception did like it was good? The game itself was good but most of the new characters were ass except Havik.

Well Kira could be really cool if she didn't had the moves of Kano and Sonya... A red-haired evil black dragon chick is cool in my book, but now she is replaced by Skarlet for me personally.

I don't care who is included or left out as long as Scorpion is there.

I want Rain to be in it most of MK9 characters, Mileena, Sektor and Ermac too, but Reiko, Tanya, Fujin and Havik are the most important characters for me, they go before all others because I want them in 2D.

Its not your fault of course, I just cringe at the thought that I would like only 1 character, and that character is one of the most overused. I'm just happy I ain't thinking that way, while my life would be a lot easier then probably.

K so what have we learned today? It's obviously easier to be stressed over the fact that your character may not make the final roster or you can be a Scorpion fan and know he will always make the roster until the end of eternity LOL. Opinions everyone has one just have to respect em` keep it classy DVorah.

He may be overused, but I'm 27 years old, I've mained Scorpion since the very first MK. I don't like the front runners and casuals that have come along the way recently that gave him this stigma. I'm a legitimate fan of his through and through. I meant what I had said previously. He fits my aggressive play style the most and he's aesthetically cool to me as well.

I naturally gravitated towards him as a character and I have no problems with the fact that I've stayed loyal to him.

Not that I don't play other characters because that's not the case, I just don't care who comes and goes as long as he remains. Nobody else matters to me.

At least for my sake as of now, Sub is in. If a few more arrive of my liking, I'll be even more happier. Just gotta wait and hope.

I'm fine without Rayden, Liu, Kitana, Mileena, Cage, Sonya, Shang, Kano, Sheeva, Nightwolf, Sindel, Goro, Jarek, Tanya, Kai, Shinnok, Kenshi, Bo, Li Mei, Nitara, Mavado, Mokap, Shujinko, Dairou, Kobra, Darrius, Onaga, Ashrah, Kira, Taven, Daegon.

10: Li Mei AKA YES-Lets-put-a-asian-women-in-the-game-because-that-is-so-cool-and-Tekken.

12: Mavado, keep your filthy and boring paws off Kabals weapons you freaking creep.
13: Filthy Bo Rai Cho, wouldn't mind a revamped Bo tho, without farts and puke humor.

All others are fine with me, Cyrax would be cool tho, if he's evil and is general in Sektor's armies. But not as slave to Cassie, Sonya, Jax or any other human.

People freaked out when Scorpion and Raiden weren't in MK3. They got over it (granted, Ultimate and Trilogy fixed that, just like DLC will fix anyone not instantly available and in high demand) :P Bring on the new blood.
