Aqua is obviously this year's April Fool's joke.

However, I still would like to know whatever happened to the newest character that was supposed to debut in Mortal Kombat Gold-- Belokk. Several sources prove of his potential inclusion, and Ed Boon stated that Eurocom did not have time to include him in MKG. Did Eurocom retain the rights to the character? Was Belokk recreated into another character? Sixteen years and six sequels later, Belokk has yet to be introduced.

Belokk was created by Eurocom but in the end I think Midway decided it was best if they didn't let third parties create characters as that shit can get messy so he ended up being canned.

I thought he looked sweet though, but I wouldn't ever expect him to make a debut- as I said, Eurocom owns the rights and I doubt NRS has the time, energy, patience, or care to spend buttloads of money on acquiring a scrapped character from some now defunct company,

Best if NRS just made their own (better) version of him.
