Not really much of a surprise. They started MKX after MK9 during the time they worked on Injustice as well so they're probably multi-tasking both an Injustice 2 and final touches for MKX then will move on to preliminary work on MK11.

Yeah, with a company like NRS, they're probably working on 2, if not 3, games at the same time, all in different stages of development of course.

I really wish NRS would continue to support MKX post kombat pack. I think MKX could stay competitive for years to come, and a MK XL / Ultimate MKX would be awesome. Release an updated MKX in the year between Injustice 2 and MK 11. Add about a dozen new characters, new backgrounds, new skins and new brutalities.

guess so, still think more dlc because tremor,tanya,predator are done and are in the testing and balancing stage. they had a different team work on jason so each team will be delegated to each character, think he is a sound designer

There are already 3 kombat packs planned, and likely a fourth so that should take us into 2016. I think they're gaging how long Killer Instinct will last and how Capcom is going to handle SF5. If the MOBA business model sticks around I expect in 2016 they will distribute the game for free, but with only scorpion, selling each character individually.

Also the mention of Injustice 2 made me cringe really hard: I liked it, but who was that made for? Mortal Kombat fans. And I'm still pissed Black Canary was not DLC HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!
