Ed Boon just posted this on twitter. Looks like we'll be getting them in MKX. Unless this is taken from story mode I think this is fantastic! Injustice had the character specific interactions via the clash system and for MK to get it's own character interactions like this would be a better option than ripping off the clash system. I always wanted this. It gives the characters more personality. As much as I love MK, a lot of the kombatants come off extremely bland and wooden. *Fingers crossed* We'll get an accompanying comic book to highlight characters that'll probably get the short end of the stick in the game.

I've been waiting for this since we got character intros in MK9. If we do get them, that'll be fucking awesome.

I love how annoyed Sub-Zero comes off as.
He probably thinks: "Argh! Not this f*cking tool again!"

So excited for this. Hopefully they say something at the end of the match too...

Like..."Good Riddance..."

It's a small detail but it goes a long way to me. Kinda hate having the same intro and outro. The same outros in Injustice really irked me for some reason. Meh, not a huge deal but some variety would be welcome!

After they had them in Injustice, I would expect nothing less. smile

Man, Scorpion gets some of the best lines. Remember MK9?

SZ: I am his family and clan, I fight for his honor!
S: HE HAD NO HONOR!! AND YOU WILL DIE AS HE DID!!

I don't like the way these are written. It doesn't give me the feeling like they're talking to each other. It's like they're placeholders for when they talk to other characters are something...at least make Scorpion say "THEN I will relieve you of your burden!"

Awesometacular!! Been waiting for this since Injustice showed us that clash system!

But that does raise a question over which Sub-Zero brother it is. The text suggests it could be any of them though, especially considering how in MK4 Quan Chi told Scorpion that Kuai Liang was also involved in the massacre of his people... So maybe the same thing here?

Or with all that multiple universes it is not too far fetched to think it might be Bi-Han as well? Kan't wait for E3!

SZ: "To Hell with your clan!"
Scorp: "No...to Hell with you!"

*Scorp drags Subz to Hell*

My favorite part in story mode.

AH, now that makes me excited. By far one of the most fun parts of Injustice was the sometimes surprising interactions between the characters. It gives the developers time to flush out things that may not be important enough to reveal in story mode but still contribute to characterization.

Either as Noob Saibot or as Sub-Zero, I'm certain he'll be in the game.

Most possibly.

Kuai Liang made it perfectly clear in Kahn's Arena that he fought for his brother, Scorpion thus MUST be adressing the older one, since he knows who is (not) responsible for his clans death.

If we do get specific character intros, oh my god that'd be so sweet.
I just hope they change the angle of the intros when they show them. MK9 and Injustice had the same style of intros. I really don't want the very cinematic style they keep going with.

On the original timeline Scorpion decided to protect young Subby after elarning he was merciful, then Quan Chi during MK4 made him think young Subby was to blame for the death of his family and clan, so it doesn't matter what happened on the previous game, he can still think young Subby is respoinsible for this and this game will likely feature some MK4 plot elements.

Intro:

Kitana: Mother...you're alive!?!
Sindel: Too bad, YOU.....will Die!
Announcer: FIGHT!

Missed opportunity in MK9, so this better be in MKX.

Irony is that they're both dead currently. grin
