Do you think it would be cool to have in game finishers. like an ultra combo in street fighter you would input directions and stand back and watch. only it would rip the opponent and kill them. but you can only do it in the second round. Also at the end of a match when you have got beaten do u think it would be fun for the loser to be able to input directions and run away from the fight before he or she is finished.HAHAHAH............. and you should only be able to di in game finishers when the bell sounds and u are almost dead. so that would make the other person nervous tryin to beat you.

I think is a good idea if done right. You shouldn't run away but you should be able to reverse the finisher and stay alive,to keep on fighting. Or you can only do a finisher when its the final round when there health is low. It would make fatilties more useful.

Mid game fatalities for the win.

I don't think that would be a great idea. Fatalities peformed to end someone in the middle of the round seems very cheap. Most players will initially go in for the kill every round and the fighting engine would seem obsolete if you can just press a button combination that ends a fight.

Instead, consider towards the end of the second round during the time where a player inputs a fatality sequence, the player having a fatality peformed on him would have to put a counter sequence in faster to enable some extra life energy and continue the fight.

This could make a fight extra tense and more enjoyable for skilled players.

Fatalities should be done the way finishers are done in wrestling games.

Maybe a system similar to the Soul Calibir IV Soul Crush/Critical Finish would be ok.

But then again blocked moves whittle down the opponent's health anyway. So that would be tricky to balance.

Kinda like MKD's Deathtraps, eh? They've never done it before, and it might be worth doing at least once. After all, it seems like every generation of MK they try and do something that makes that particular incarnation a little unique.

Its been a while since I've played a wrestling game...I believe it was Smackdown HCTP.....but are you saying that we should fill up a bar, and then press a single button when the situation is right to perfrom a fatality?

Because if you are...then no, just no.

I prefer in game brutality, because it's more authentic and it's near to the super combos that are in SF.In game brutality must be hard to pull and shouldn't kill your opponent, but take him a lot of vitality and make him dizzy for extra damage after wards. Also when it's executed the screen must go dark and some extra, adrenaline rush music must start to play and some special effects must occur - like from the aggressor from MK Trilogy.

I think it's a pretty good idea. It would actually give me incentive to pull of fatalities.....i hardly ever bother using fatalities, because i dont care.

By making them part of the gameplay, I would care more. So yeah, I'm all for it. I've had the idea in my mind for a while actually. But like someone esle mentioned, perhaps brutality like moves would be more appropriate so that they don't end the match instantly.

Yo, I thought about the in game fatalities again and remembered that in the first MK movie Scorpion did "in game" fatality, but just missed. And then Cage finished him. Also Sub-Zero pulled of in game fatality.I can't remember if anyone else did.

My point is that it can be done and it can be fun if made the right way.
I think that if they make it, there should be some kind of timing. If someone pulls fatality on you - you can escape it via some kind of fatality breaker or what ever.
I would be stupid if someone pulls fatality on you and you can't escape it in the middle of the first round.

I'm in for the in game finishers - Brutalities and Fatalities.
it is good idea for a critical finisher system in. it should be executed as an charge attack, then the player had to press QTE to keep it going, if the player missed it or the second player did before the first, the move ould be blocked and repel both player away to keep fighting
