Im a bit confused. (Early access of DLC??)

Alright. So I was playing mkx online, when I noticed at the bottom corner where it usually gives tips, it said "STATS: total wins with JASON (Slasher):120"(189 when it popped up again.)
Then another one that said "STATS: total wins with TREMOR (VARIATION THREE):28"

Did someone get like early access to the DLC or something? Sorry for your inconvenience, just was curious. Thanks!
