I don't think I want any new realms right now Icebaby. Like you said we already have six. Two of which were only dealt with in Deception and Armageddon. I would rather the 6 we have be explored more fully before they attempt to create more.

That would be my preference. Of course the mk team could always knock one out of the park and create some awesome new realms thus proving me wrong.

I think that for right now, they should stick with the realms they have. If new realms are going to be introduced, it should flow better into the story. One problem with Orderrealm (Seido) and Chaosrealm was that it came all of a sudden into the story. With Nitara and Vaeternus, it's a bit smoother, because you get the story of Vaeternus being taken over by Shao Kahn and merged with Outworld. Once Nitara separates Vaeternus from Outworld, you see some exploration into that story with her MK: Armageddon story.

i'd like to see another realm but also would like to see improvements on all the other realms before they make a new one.

here's my idea for a new realm. magic/lore realm - think of diablo 2 arcane sanctuary but with vampires, onis and demons instead of wrathes and goatmen. it would not look the same but feel like mk with various tweaks and changes.

plus when i think of quan chi's writing all over his body i think of magic and spells. what you think. that's my take on the subject.

Personally, I'm not a fan of more realms and to be honest, I wasn't really a fan of the realms they added to begin with. I was okay with just having Outworld and the Netherealm, though personally, I wish they'd just kept Earth as the focus throughout.

But it seems to me like every realm they add is worse than the last and given how poorly they were realized in MK:D, I'd rather they fix the storyline so all of the "portals" to other realms are closed.

I'm not saying they could never open them again, but it would be kinda cool to have a few characters from other realms that are now trapped here and must fight or even join forces (reluctantly) with others in the same predicament in order to get home.

But that's about all the back story I'd like on the realms. Every time they bring in new realms, it just dilutes the coolness the realms before them had. Outworld was pretty awesome when it was introduced in MK2, but now we've got several others and Outworld seems somewhat less now for me.

Anyways, closing the portals, for me at least, would kind of put the stamp on the divide between the past games and the new games. I'd like to see a new MK tournament, hosted by the Shaolin, where a new villain or enemy is introduced. He doesn't have to be from our world, but if you're going to bring in a new realm, limit it to one realm throughout the new story and don't bring back ANY of the other old realms.

Just my 2 cents.

I agree, we should just stick with the realms we have now. before introducing any newer ones.

and as for new characters, and this is just my personal thought but i dont think we really need new characters at the moment. i mean we already have cast of many charcters and barely any of them have gotten any proper development since their introduction into the game, except for the select popular few who did, except now thier own stories are looking pretty redundent at this point. hosnetly half of these characters were created to support other character's stories.

so i'm not saying no, i'm just saying new characters and realms should be on hold, untill what we currently have is dealt with, you know who stays, who gets killed off for good (like that would ever happen!)
