I love MK to death but MK vs DC is fucking lame and I wont ever buy it.

MK vs. DC is more appealing than MK on it's on. It just unfortunately was an inferior game to the new one.

If MK vs DC2 were like MK9, NRS would learn from their mistakes and not make another shitty crossover game with shitty mechanics.

i honestly thought it was loads better than the mkda-mka era of games.

if they did mkvdc2 but like mk9, i would definitely buy it. if they replaced the meter with rage instead, that would be alright. no x-rays, but instead rage mode. i could live with that,

because in a way, x-rays are almost like a guaranteed rage combo. think about it.

I liked MK vs DC alot. I would love for them to make an MK vs DC 2, but it would have to done with more characters and alot more bloody gore. As long as its a bloody, gory MK, than I am good with it.

1. I think sales wise it would do okay. I think the MK fans and DC fans would buy it if it was like MK9.

If they did do it & followed the same formula with more main/popular char from the earlier games, Then for Mk since it was from first 2 mk's then MK3 chars would come into play here, As for DC popular char who have been around for years & people recognize along with maybe 3 obscurities, Doesn't sound hard now dose it so counting the char from the first game if they made part 2 but in the style of MK 2011 meaning 2.5d then .

As for a Boss don't know if they should bring DK back or something entirely new. But as for Sub Bosses replace SK & DS with Goro & Doomsday!!!

Part of me would rather leave it to be an All DC fighting game.

Reason 1: It would be the MK team working on it, which would essentially cause double the wait for the next strictly MK game. 6+ years before MK10? hmm

Reason 2: We would be foreced to see the same characters as NRS would use the "icons". Maybe we would see Reptile, Johnny Cage, Kung Lao or Mileena. But most the cast would be there.

Reason 3: DC fans get a full DC game, with more characters

Reason 4: No gamespy bullshit means better online servers

Reason 5: Instead of NRS, they could use MKDC or the MK9 template and hand it to an unrelated team of developers. Giving us 2 good releases in half the time.

I could however, see them including Shao Kahn as a bonus character to follow up MKDC's story mode. Sort of an aftermath game on the DC side and have Darksied somehow get back to that realm (in that canon).

Thinking about it I think at this point I kinda want a MK Vs DCU comic series now. Being a sequel to the game using a few elements from the arcade mode endings.

If they do make a sequel it should be a stand alone and not count as part of the main series [MKvsDC is MK8]

I would like to see Guy Gardner in a sequel because his attitude would fit MK better than Hal Jordan's did.

Or maybe make Laira the GL representative and have Jade as her "rival"

I'd favor an all DC game. Some evil or neutral characters could still have fatalities but maybe call them something else, so that it doesn't seem like such an obvious MK clone. Suggested characters: all the dc characters from the MK vs DC roster plus sinestro, atrocitus, doomsday, zod, green arrow, robin, nightwing, two-face, supergirl, Martian manhunter, Solomon grundy, kilowog, riddler, aquaman and tri-eye.
I still think its unlikely to happen, but we live in hope.

1. The game would be generally well recieved among casual gamers and most MK fans. Sales would be strong, but probably weaker than MK2011's smash-hitness. The people who whined before will continue to do so, many after purchasing something they claim to hate.

2. Six additional fighters for each side? Let's see.

DC: Mister Miralce, Etrigan, Most Excellent Super-Bat, Manhunter, Laira, and Professor Pyg.

MK: Ermac, Sindel, Kobra, Sektor, Reiko, and Nitara.

Sub-Bosses: Moloch and Neron.

Would be a lie if i said i need that kind of game on the lay. But with characters that i'm not tired of seing in the MK roster maybe.

Fujin, Reiko, Nitara, Tanya and a couple youngsters could do. Otherwise, i'm not interested in a crossover.

I think people would have been more open-minded to MKvsDC had it not been preceded by MKA.

Not to mention they put up a ridiculously long countdown timer, and when it expired, they revealed that a canonical MK sequel wasn't even in the works. That's what drove me to the edge.

After MKA, I wanted both a real MK sequel and a better quality game for MK's next gen debut. When the rumors of a VS game started coming up, I thought that it was so absurd and the idea made me so angry that I couldn't even entertain the possibility until I saw that Sub Zero / Batman picture.

The second I saw it, my initial reaction "No! NO!!!!" So yeah, I think that alot of MK fans were set up to hate that game from the get go.

Honestly though, as far as the 3D MK games are concerned, I actually thought that it had the best gameplay (minus the inround mini-games like beating each other up in mid-air, the rock em sock em robots close quarters thing which was so dull I don't even remember its name, the silly RAGE meter and the corny running through buildings thing).

Take all of the filler out that they felt the need to add and I actually thought that the combat system was fun and stood well on its own. Especially the solid number of special moves that the characters got, which really gave each one a good signature feel to them.

If MK vs DC 2 were like MK9? Honestly, I wouldn't care. I still want a new MK game over a VS game any day of the week. I like MK for it's characters and its story and in my opinion, the story of MK vs DC was terrible, even if a cross over story can't really be good to begin with.

Plus, as far as DC characters go, sorry comic fans, but I honestly don't like enough of them to want to see more. I like Batman alot, and the many villains he faces, but I already have Arkham Asylum and Arkham City to scrach that itch. Beyond those characters, there's really no one at DC besides maybe Deathstroke that I like.

So for me, there's just no need for a sequel, not from a storyline perspective, not from a gameplay perspective, not from a lot opportunity (to work on the next MK) perspective and not from a character perspective.
